I’d guess that if the most profitable option is ignoring it, they’ll ignore it and if the most profitable option is pretending to care, they’ll pretend to care, obviously as long as it doesn’t mean they themselves are going to jail. If at some point, someone needs to be sacrificed to maintain the good of the whole, it might come to that, but the public is bad at remembering things, so you just wait it out for a while until people forget about it or run out of steam and then slowly restart the positive press campaign as if nothing bad ever happened.

This whole thing sounds like a whole lot of nothing.
The Dolphins will trade for him, but not until his legal issues are resolved. His legal issues probably won’t be resolved until after the trade deadline. Once his legal issues are resolved, a bunch of other teams will re-enter the conversation and we’ll start over?

Watson would be a small blip on Florida’s radar, ‘cause Florida has bigger fish a fryin’, pretty much on a daily basis… B)

Here's the hilarious part: Texans rejected Deshaun Watson offer of three first-round picks and three third-round picks before draft. That ship has sailed. I don't think he's tradeable now unless Houston wants to take significantly less.
