Question:  Do you think Cousins will be a captain this year?  Be quite something for the starting QB not to be named a captain.

Nope, demoted to "Private".

Meh.

Again, leaving my actual feelings on the vax situation to the side, let me say this about Kirk, his mental strength, and distraction:

he managed to excel on his first NFL team, despite them being a bipolar shitshow that was emotionally invested in RGIII...and, specifically, wouldn't commit to Cousins.

He came to Minnesota, behind a truly horrible o-line, and has had career-best seasons and kept us in games our defense was pissing away last season.

As for his "mental strength in big games", he's now won in prime time and in the post season, something he supposedly couldn't do and the Vikings hadn't done convincingly in a decade.

So...yeah, it's one more distraction.  That said, many sport scribes and babbling idiot "fans" always find reasons to hate out on the guy despite him slowly destroying the list of things he "can't do".

He reportedly has been slinging the ball well since he returned to practice, so...I'd say he's doing his job despite media insanity right now.

Agree.  I suspect it ain't gonna happen, after this debacle.  Zim-su is pissed that he would jeopardize the entire team.  Sorry.
Jake Browning, the high school phenom (91 TDs his senior season?), the college stud, the patient bench-rider, get ready for your time to shine in the pre-season sun, so that the coaches can ascertain that you're not a mirage.

There is one thing that can save him and everyone knows what it is.

The league coming to their senses and not trying to put in punishment features to unvaccinated players?  The vaccines are already proving somewhat ineffective against the delta variant and those that have received the vaccine are transmitting it to others.  If it’s saving the vaccinated from further complications, great for them.

Yeah but that would only happen if he was on the Cowboys, Patriots, or Packers.

People that aren’t dumb fucks would be worried about the league protocols and not agreeing to give up their personal freedoms because they may miss a couple of football games. But, it’s about the science.  L9l
