Metropolitan Stadium Question
#11
I was too late for the Met. But I went to my share of football and baseball games at the Dome. It felt like watching sports in a bad living room with green carpet. I have some cool memories from there but it had nothing to do with the venue and atmosphere.

US Bank stadium, on the other hand, actually brings something to the experience. If you haven't been inside you've likely seen the videos. Love that place.

Honestly, the Vikings had two shitty stadiums: The Met and the Metrodome. Both obsolete the minute they opened their doors for football. And now you have U.S. Bank stadium, arguably a top 3 NFL stadium in the country.
The Dump came in under budget. No AC at first. Not sure if I'll make it to the Bank in 21' but definitely will by 22'.
PM me if you end-up coming up here...

My son was like no way so I had to show him the flamethrower.

Yeah, it's spectacular. Best indoor stadium I've ever been in. The natural light, the energy, the sound...it's a night and day difference from the dome days.

Honestly the dome didn't bother me too much.  It was loud, and most of the seating gave you great views.  Just don't leave your seat, though -- the concourses would give anyone claustrophobia and forget about using the washrooms.

Night games @ USB are even better than day imo...The shots of Mpls skyline @ night? Big Game? The angst? The drama? The joy? The good food? The camaraderie with 65k other skol chanters?

God I miss life b4 the Pandemic...

True story...GB fans would cross the border and piss in the sinks cause there wasn't enough urinals--- and because they're Pack fans.

To be fair,   there were NO urinals.   The only difference between the pissing troughs and the hand washing ones was the height and presence of soap dispensers.
