If traded, Kyle Fuller will still have a $9 million dead cap hit in Chicago for 2021
Given the trade market, and the fact Fuller has a $13M salary for 2021 and needs an extension, doubt Chicago can get much in a trade package - maybe a 4th
Brutal situation all around
We have 13 4th rounders.

I think it means the Vikings are looking to add a veteran on the outside to pair with Dantzler since Gladney (and Hughes if he's healthy) will play the slot. With all the youth we have at CB, it makes sense to get a young vet who can play right away rather than drafting another guy we need to develop.
I still feel like these moves and FA interest mean we're focusing on OT and DE with our first rounder.
I agree about our 1st rounder, except I'd change OT to OL. Dru Samia and Kyle Hinton are the only guards on the roster. Also, sounds like we're interested in Mac Alexander, too, who's more of a slot. Either way, Iike I said, I hope we land one. There are going to be some tempting corners at 14.
You all thought I was joking when I mocked them Jaycee Horn!
Didn't think you were joking. Just don't want to do it. And from the looks of who they're flirting with, neither do they. So right now, I want a CB more than OL so we can go into the draft looking at OL and DE, where both positions are thick in the middle 1st.
As of this morning, NFL management council records showed just three teams left over the salary cap.
1) Saints, $12.72 million over.
2) Chiefs, $5.41 million over.
3) Bears, $2.42 million over.
Which is a matter of a few moves being processed. All have to be under by 4 p.m. ET.

What intrigues me is that they initially chased a DE before opting for Tomlinson. Makes me wonder if they're not as enamored with the DE talent in the early rounds. Gut feeling says they trade for a DE in the next little while or find another vet option to bring it. O-line is likely the 1st round target, which also provides great value.

What DE is available for trade that would be an upgrade from those currently on the roster?

There appears to be good value at both positions in the 1st round, but I'd say there are a lot more questions surrounding Rousseau, Paye, Phillips, Oweh, et al, than Sewell, Slater, AVT, Darrisaw, et al. Maybe the Vikings see it that way too.
One more thing: Vikings could add a DE in free agency and pretty much take it off the draft need list. With OL, they need two. Either a high-priced FA (or trade) and a middle round pick or a low-priced FA (or trade) and a 1st rounder.

remember when 3 hours before the start of FA, and getting all the rumors of whose jet was parked where, and who traveled to what city the night before..... was like shaking your presents on Christmas morning in anticipation for Mom or Dad to say go ahead and open them? Now here we are a little over 2 hours to go and its like 3 days after Christmas when your new shit is either already broke, or you realized that it was a dumb thing to ask for.
Oh god. The annual Larry Fitzgerald to the Vikings shit has already begun.
