Barr trade in the works?

If the Vikings aren’t interested in paying Barr $12.9 million in 2021, neither is anyone else. He’s not getting traded. Either pay cut or release.
you know what BT Barnum said..... every minute a new fool is born,  somebody will likely offer something.  especially since Minny has already done the heavy lifting with the signing bonus.   got to remember those are part of any deal so that is basically free money for the team that trades for that player who is still under contract.

I have to think an 3-4 team would definitely be interested.

I mean, if so...I'd imagine that puts Micah Parsons in play for us at #14. Many people think Parsons is the best defensive player in this draft.

Just another need to add to the heap.

The notion that Wilson is downgrade from Barr,  the stats dont support it.

Wilson had 122 tackles last year  62/60 in 15 games started.  Barr has never topped 80 in a season.
eight tackles for a loss,  Barr has only topped that 1 year and that was 9

Wilson had 3 sacks and 9 QB hits,   Barr hasnt done that since his 2nd year in the league and his best since 2018 at 3 sacks and 4 QB hits

Wilson 3 picks last year,  Barr 2 for his career

Wilson 8 passes defended,  Barr 8 for his career

I am not saying that Wilson is the better player, but I dont see the huge loss of performance that some want to make it out to be if they could move Barr and resign Wilson.   If anything Wilson should be able to improve on these numbers as he would get to play behind a real NT like Barr had for so many years in LJ,  and he would be getting his 2nd full season as a full time starter.

Neither is Charles Snowden, probably a couple rounds later. And Eric Snowden could tell us Spielman's secret plans..!
