And yet we believe and hang on every word of the media. This phenomenon will be covered up by the "free" press.
I don't think 'we' do, I think SOME do. But the coup attempt on the Capitol really solidified what we already knew about the Trumpers: brainwashed zealots. Its not even a debate.
Was that really a coup? Come on, enough with the stupid rhetoric. Was it a coup attempt when crying liberals stormed DC during the Cavanagh hearings? Or the Wisconsin state house when they were over ran ? No, its angry people wanting to have their voices heard amd raising a little hell to have them heard. What about the riots all summer that were just as destructive and harmful? Were those coup attempts? No, they were pissed off citizens. Hardly a serious attempt by any of them to overthrow the democracy.
Jimmy, I don't know if your conclusion it was not a coup attempt is based on the fact that it was not successful. But it's hard to ignore the attempt. Certainly there were people at the 'gathering' (or whatever you may want to call it), who were just there to fawn over Trump because he called them to DC. But there is a tremendous amount of information, including hours and hours of video, that documents that it was a coup attempt. They didn't break into the capitol just to raise a little hell by shattering some glass. They were looking for members of congress. The woman who was shot was literally climbing through the door to get to them.
This isn't the media. It was timed with the certification of the votes. Their purpose was to stop the certification and somehow ensure that Trump remained in power. It's not conjecture as they state this outright.
Let's give credit where credit is due.
“ a sudden, violent, and illegal seizure of power from a government”
So Portland this summer? If thats what we’re going with, Portland’s autonomous zone was an actual coup. Where as the shitheads on Jan 6th....did they seize any power from anyone?
To me the 6th sure looked like a bunch of douchebags that got let into the capital building by security officers. Maybe it was even was planned, because to me it sure looked like it didnt take a whole lot of effort to enter one of the most secure buildings on Earth.

Nope. This is just getting more desperate and laughable. Pretty sure you meant Seattle not Portland.
An illegal occupation? Sure. No different than armed rednecks who took over a federal building at Malheur Refuge in Oregon for a few months because they were pissed at the government. But coup? No.
Nobody stormed the capitol in Seattle, or tried to overthrow the governor or mayor. The Seattle autonomous zone had no leadership, no political body, and no candidate they were trying to put in place of the government.
The violent mob at the capitol was trying to overthrow the government. People were hunting for Pelosi, AOC, and Pence with the intention to kill them. They wanted to halt the vote to keep Trump in power. That’s literally the definition of a coup.
“It didn’t take a whole lot of effort ....”
BULL FUCKING SHIT

Over 140 officers injured. One died. One committed suicide. One lost 3 fingers. Cracked ribs. Numerous concussions. Stabbings. AFTER capitol police were finally beat to shit and overrun THEN they appeared to give up the will to fight and let the terrorists inside.
Are we clear on what’s a coup yet? Do we need to use smaller words and pictures for those still confused?

I've different videos regarding the will of the cops, like them willfully standing aside as people calmly walked right past them.
But I'm sure what I've seen is not legit since your sources likely don't show that angle.

No Jimmy.
Because you seem to have this insinuation that just because some rioters waltzed in without any resistance, somehow that means to you that there weren’t hundreds of others who assaulted cops and forced their way in with violence, and the fact I posted an article that the cops said 140 injured from rioter assaults ...?
Oh, but those were all just angry voices “raising a little hell” that want to be heard? Assassinating people??
Fucking Christ ... I am equal parts mortified and terrified at the ability of millions who listened to Trump scare his mob into thinking the election was stolen, lathered them up and stood back and did NOTHING to calm the violence of his own fucking supporters.
Did he call for peace when his mob made it inside to “stop the steal”? Make it clear he wouldn’t condone violence when people were getting shot?
FUCK NO. Not until hours after the worst passed. What did he forget his Twitter login, or someone take his phone? His silence just solidified him being complicit.
If Trump didn’t purposely start it, he made ZERO attempt to stop it. Spin that.
I'm not sure Mike Pence felt at the time these were just a few people pissed-off who had a few too many beers early in the day.
What would they have done if they knew he was in the office behind that closed door hiding when they flew right by him? That would have made for some great tv!
Minimally this was a desecration of what we all hold as cherished in this country. It was the culmination of not just Trumps fiery 1/6 speech but of all the big lies since August.
It's pretty clear there wasn't quite enough death (only 1) , damage or human carnage for team red members to cross party lines right now. There will not be 11 more who vote guilty.
My only positive coming from this is that a large # of American are now on to that con and voted him out. And Trump has done enough damage so that he may never win a major party candidacy again.

Nope. But history will not be kind to those who witnessed a violent insurrection, an attempted coup, and looked the other way.

Like CHAZ, Portland for 2 or 3 straight months, like Minneapolis? Killing of David Dorn, burning of buildings both private and government. Taking over police precincts, assaulting police officers with explosives, lasers and projectiles?
Yeah, spare us your pompous sanctity. History is written by the winners, so we will see who is held accountable.

Do you girls have an original thought in your head that doesn’t involve deflecting to something else?

If you want to be treated like an adult, perhaps bring something adult to the discussion.
