Next POTUS election wont matter.
There is not a single demographic mega-trend that favors GOP or conservatives. and with Biden, our borders will be wide open, ensuring that.
Trump will be the last GOP president.
I think you're being "tongue in cheek" here...

Nope.

Demographers of many different "think-tanks" are nearly unanimous.  Google the topic.

We'll be lucky to win Texas next go-round.

I would take umbrage with Trump foreign policy enhancing our influence in the world..

You’re not going to find many that agree with me on foreign policy. I pretty much agree with Ron Paul on foreign policy.

If it were up to me we’d close most our foreign bases. We’d pull out of every single war we’re currently enaged in.

We’d cut military spending by +90%
We’d cut foreign aide by 100%

We’d remain a member of Nato but we’d only pay our share.

Trump got us into no new wars and scaled back most active ones which is a move in the right direction in my book.
All of which BEGS the question, why the hell didn't you support him? I mean, you clearly have no problem with his unpresidential behavior, defending him at every turn. And now it sounds like you agree with pretty much all of his policies, too!

I'm terribly confused. Is there anything you'd like to confess?
Not a fiscal conservative bone in the mans body.

I agree with you, Savvy. My in laws live in Texas so I've been going there two or three times a year for the last 25 years. I've seen it change. The suburbs of Dallas and Houston (where it matters) are no longer filled with conservative white folks. They're filled with young, affluent Hispanic, Black, Asian, Indian, gay families--some of whom even vote R, but most of whom vote D.

It's like the civil rights bill. Conservatives just have to get used to it. Or change their way of thinking. Like I said elsewhere, get rid of your bigots and your Limbaughs and your Alex Jones and your Q-balls....and embrace what your party is about. It's the party of Lincoln, small govt, low taxes, states rights.

That's your only chance.

Apt comparison.

This. Well said, MB. This is the candidate I want to vote for. That last 4 years have been abysmal with how divided we all became thanks to a pathetic  slimy demagogue that emboldened the most disgusting fringe parts of the party.

And they all knew it, too. Before he started kissing his ass, Ted Cruz called him a "pathological liar," a "serial philanderer" and "utterly amoral." Before he started kissing his ass, Lindsay Graham called him a "race-baiting, xenophopic, religious bigot." They were exactly right.

And now, after enabling that man to become the face of the party, that's exactly how people think of the GOP.

The transformation of the Republicans I grew up with (and supported) began with the tea party. From there it swirled further and further, like a turd going down the toilet.

I can stomach the white, evangelicals who voted for Trump by 80%. Even if they dont support separation of church and state to the degree I do. Hell I worked with and for many of them back in my corporate life. They can be lovely people - least to your face.

I have great respect for rural America and those who help feed the planet. Puerto Ricans who voted for Trump in FL? They love this country as much as any of us here, incredibly patriotic.

At the end of the day, maybe the 1387 days of Trump will be a change catalyst for both parties? One can hope? Kinda like the Vikings OL improving.

Dems need to get back to their roots as champions of the working class and Repubs? I think MB captured that pretty eloquently earlier.

Yeah good analogy with the Civil rights bill, but really it was just a point on the path that got us here.  Saying we have a bill so that's all behind, we are done, is very optimistic.  That was written in 1964 and we are still wrestling with the issues.

Trump continues to find new ridiculous lows as he calls out his own team of lawyers as 'not being up to the task' of defending him. LMAO. The fat bitch is going off the deep end. Its over and as predicted, there will be no classy end for him to be a gracious loser. He doesn't have the mettle.

Anyone else a little surprised the networks haven't called it yet? I mean I can understand Wednesday and even into most of Thursday, but by Friday morning at dawn, there was no longer any doubt who the winner was. It was very clear that Biden was in the lead, expanding it, and the only remaining ballots were either from democratic counties Biden was winning at a 80-90% clip, or were mail-in ballots that favored by Biden.

Such a situation on election night would've drawn a call on all networks, but we've heard nothing, now 5 days post election. It almost seems like there's a fear of calling it. A sort of dread about what might happen in the office of Der Fuhrer and his band of Q-balls. Is it best to let them get used to the idea? I dunno, just weird.
