I didn't get that meaning from your original post, and I was thoroughly disappointed in your "reboot" thread, so...admittedly, I didn't see you in much of a great light, recently.
Corporations own a fuckton of THE MEDIA, and it shows. Yes, there are good sources out there and as I pointed out, the local news (at least out here) manages to dodge the partisan lap-dog bullshit that seems to plague the larger entities of late. I basically avoid any media outlet that allows hyperbole from their own contributors, anymore. Quotes, yes...but I'm miles past sick of clickbait bullshit that is the seeming central goal of most major outlets.

I try not to get my news from sources that I know are going to feed me what I already think. I also try not to get my news from sources that I think are looney. I am definitely not a cable news guy. I will regard it if I see it but I don't seek it out generally. I don't do Youtube as a source for "News" either. I cringe when someone uses a youtube video as a backup of their claim. Unless it is a youtube rebroadcast of an actual source. But some joe blow on youtube says blah blah blah.... yeah. No.
I like to get an aggregate of news and come to a conclusion usually.
