I don't think anyone has a "must wear mask outside" mandate. If distancing is possible (hiking, for example), it's not required anywhere that I'm aware of.

but yet the words "racism" and "oppression" gets thrown about willy nilly and nobody seems to try and draw comparisons when they're used lightly or inappropriately.

Says who?  You?  Do you feel that wearing masks are the equivalent of those who are actually oppressed in this country?  Or are you saying that there is no oppression, no racism in this country?  What do you know of other people’s living conditions, their experience?

Do you agree that asking everyone to wear a mask so we can keep each other safe is tyranny, yes or no?

asking is not the same as requiring.  Forcing medical decisions is tyranny. 

And yes Maroon, Oregon has masks required outdoors.  Try google.  She was hiking with her security detail.  Any average joe would have to abide by the mandate, but not the gov.

i believe real racism and real oppression exist in this world...  i think the words get used far to fucking often compared to their historical meanings.... just like you got after greed about,  I'm just wondering if you will call out those that use racism and oppression to describe situations that pale to their historical meanings.

it doesnt matter what I think on the masks,  it was not my argument to make or defend.  i think this whole covid response is a fucking joke by politicians,  some things are fine today for one group and going to kill their neighbors for the next group.   masks are somewhat effective if worn properly and made of decent materials,  but most of the shit out there isnt so I dont see the point except to make people feel good... which is actually a pretty good thing as tightly as some have become wound over this whole thing.   My state hasnt really done shit to stop the spread in terms of shutdowns or regulations,   and we have lost more people to accidents in the last 8 months than to the worldwide killer.  some places likely need more restrictions than others,  but the fucking nut jobs on both sides of this shit is insane,  especially the way they are treating those of opposing views.
