Face Masks...

Georgia student who posted photo of a crowded school hallway and called it 'good and necessary trouble' no longer suspended

The mother of a student that was suspended after posting a photo on Twitter that showed her high school's crowded hallways tells CNN that her daughter's suspension has been reversed.
The viral photo showed students at North Paulding High School, outside Atlanta, crowded in hallways and with few visible masks. Hannah Watters, the sophomore who posted it, said she was initially suspended over the act.
Her mother Lynne Watters told CNN she spoke with the principal of the school by phone on Friday morning. She was told that her daughter would not be suspended and that a suspension would not appear on her daughter's record.
Watters was originally told that Hannah was being suspended for violating several parts of the high school's code of conduct including—using a cell phone during school hours, using social media during school hours, and violating student privacy by photographing them, she said.
Lynne Watters said that her daughter posted the photo to social media after regular school hours and North Paulding high school students are allowed to use their cell phones during class.

while I dont agree with the suspension per say for ratting the school out,  I do think that schools should have zero cell phone usage policies during school hours,  they can have them in their lockers,  but should not be allowed on their persons or in classrooms during school hours.  To many issues can come from those fucking things,  those kids are in school to learn and dont need more distractions... let alone the camera phones coming out at bad times and the social issues that come with it.

I think most schools have cell phone policies but it think it was good that she took the picture. She was clearly in the hallway and not in class. Also it is important to call attention when guidelines are not being followed.

its a joke francis.... pull the cob out, not everything you are against has to be a fucking battle.

and for the record,  for the last time,   I am not anti mask,  I am anti mandated mask usage in private establishments,  however I believe every private business is well within their rights to require masks to enter their places of business.  I do not think they are as effective as many want us to believe,  math supports that statement when you look at the size of the virus and the openings in most home made masks,  but sure something is likely better than nothing,  and if wearing a mask is in some way mentally therapeutic to those the willfully choose to do so...then more power to them.

I really dont give a shit either way as it really doesnt have much effect on my life of those I love IMO.  this thing is out there some will get it, of those that get it most all will recover,  some will not and that will be tragic,  but it is nothing more than that except we dont have a generations  of exposure or experience with it.  I doubt they even develop an effective vaccine,  this virus is less than a year old and we are already hearing of mutations or variations that will really render a vaccine ineffective.   IMO this will be like the flu in a matter of a few years,  with or without masks.

Pathetic.  Disgusting.  Sadly, this mentality, this stupidity runs wildly across the landscape of America.

Talk about projecting

Well maybe that's my problem. I haven't read at that level since the 8th grade. :-)
