Vikings Announce Covid-19 Roster Moves

I think the NFL's use of a Covid list that doesn't specify whether it's an infection or exposure is a smart move.   Limiting public info gives them more control over the narrative and the ability to proceed with a season as opposed to being shut down by a social media mob which might happen with MLB.
I believe it was the nflpa that wanted the unspecific designation.

I don't know why we're even trying.  Just call the season already.

i think it would be interesting to see a short rookie/developmental player season.  give those kids a chance to make up for no offseason before a new crop of unproven talent takes their roster spots.

But what would be the rationale for letting them play if it is deemed unsafe for veterans? Would you call it "The Expendables League"? There may not even be a college season. (Or it will run in spring, which will totally mess up the NFL combine/draft schedule.)  No...it's possible all the vets with a decent amount of financial security will opt out and this season will be a de facto development season, but I don't see the NFL declaring rookies can play but not vets.

I just don't see how the whole team doesn't get "exposed" once one guy in the locker room gets it.  If a center gets Covid, you think at a bare minimum the whole line and the QB are exposed.  Or all the guys in the huddle?  Maybe give everyone radios and ban the huddle for a year?
Speaking about centers, wasn't there an issue with Bradbury and, ahem, moisture content from the snap, wonder if there will be a glove protocol or something.  I can just see the ref. kicking the ball to the sideline instead of picking it up.

There is no way they are going to call the season yet. They are trying to get whatever money they can first.

If the vets keep opting out the vets will move in mass and basically make it an unofficial developmental league.  Nothing about expendables,   just that kids that dont have a bank account and know that they have one year to prove their worth,  and players that havent been given their shot will be looking to make their mark regardless of the risk... for God sake its football and these kids should know better than anybody how fast that paycheck can slip through their fingers.
