i have to think, much like coaching staffs in the NFL, prospective presidents kind of have a cabinet in mind when they run, but I wonder how often those positions are filled more by the party than by the president? how often would there be candidates that would use the same person in their cabinet as somebody that they run against in the primaries?
its an interesting angle though so that you are making it more of a team ticket and less of an individual choice.. of course since they serve at the pleasure of the president.... they could be outed at anytime so a bait and switch could happen.

I read last week that if Bloomberg didnt start getting more love from the DNC that he was going to drop out of the dem race and re enter as a 3rd party candidate... he just really wants to be on the ballot against Trump and doesnt really care how he gets there.

He'll entertain it and he might run as a 3rd party candidate for awhile, but in the end, I think Bloomberg drops out and supports the Democrat. From everything he's said, I'd say his desire to be president isn't as great as his desire to see Trump removed. And if he continues a run, it would split much of the D vote and almost guarantee a Trump reelection.

he certainly has a hard on for Trump, but I suspect he will stay in it and throw as much dirt as he can for as long as he can, but once he realizes in october that he is doing more harm than good I suspect you are correct, especially if he doesnt pick up some major campaign donors along the way and he keeps footing the bill himself.

I think he’ll just come out as an independent. Spend a bunch of money advertising for a
while and then drop out before the actual voting starts.

I think she’s pretty clearly aligned with the establishment
democrats now rather than the progressive democrats.
The democrats are probably going to have to break up into
multiple parties going forward. I think
they’ve clearly ostracized the more progressive and populist portion of their
base (who will now stay home rather than voting). There’s been way too many shenagins these
last two primaries, and anyone who’s halfway paying attention can see that they’ve
deliberately screwed Sanders, Yang, and Gabbard.
I think you can divide the democrats into 3 main
groups: The crony establishment, The
socialists, and centrist democrats who give a shit and don’t fall for the
establishments lies.
