We were told to wait for the IG Report...now we are told to wait for the Durham investigation. So please direct your comment to those asking the rest of us to wait.

'Dossier' author Chris Steele met Ivanka Trump years before Russia scandal, source says

Nearly a decade before the 2016 presidential campaign, Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka met a British intelligence officer who ran the Russia desk -- and when the agent left his covert service and moved into private practice in 2010, she stayed in touch, ABC News has learned.

The two exchanged emails but never worked together, and the man, Christopher Steele, would one day re-emerge in a most unexpected way, taking a central role in the Russia scandal that consumed the early years of her father’s presidency, according to a source familiar with their past contacts.

The prior relationship came to light as investigators with the Department of Justice Inspector General’s office was looking into allegations of political bias at the origins of the Russia investigation since May 2018.

Steele gained notoriety as the investigator who ignited a firestorm by authoring the highly controversial 2016 dossier alleging links between the Trump Campaign and Russia, and embarrassing incidents involving Trump before he took office.

Critics of Steele have argued that the former intelligence officer was biased against Trump and was inclined to produce a negative report on the presidential candidate – excoriating Steele on social media and elsewhere.

In 2007, Ivanka Trump met Steele at a dinner and they began corresponding about the possibility of future work together, the source said. The following year, the two exchanged emails about meeting up near Trump Tower, according to several emails seen by ABC News. And the two did meet at Trump Tower according to the source. The inspector general’s report mentions a meeting with a “Trump family member” there.

They suggest Ivanka Trump and Steele stayed in touch via emails over the next several years. In one 2008 exchange they discussed dining together in New York at a restaurant just blocks from Trump Tower.

Ivanka Trump worked as an executive vice president at the Trump Organization, managing a range of foreign real estate projects, including in parts of the world where Steele’s firm, Orbis Business Intelligence touted expertise. She and Steele discussed services Orbis could offer to the Trump Organization regarding its planned expansion into foreign markets, according to two sources familiar with the meetings.

Read the report.

And Durham’s statement.

Durham said he disagrees with IG finding ... because Durham was able to investigate outside US and inside US - which was outside the scope of IG.

There will be arrests.  Durham won’t issue a report.  He will indict and prosecute.

Didnt direct anything to you.  Just a general comment on all these reports Mueller, Impeachment, IG, IRS, Email etc.  all political nothing ever happens the only thing that might happen is the house of reps will Impeach a sitting president for a non crime that would never hold up in court and didnt even hold up in their kangaroo slanted nonsense.   So it is purely a political  stunt that sets a terrible precedent.

At the bold....
Isnt that the whole issue under discussion? You think the "crime" is a non crime. Others think it is a crime. I am trying not to notice your obvious bias (kangaroo slanted nonsense)
If there is a none crime why not let the process play out? Provide the actual call transcripts, provide requested documents, let the actual first hand witnesses testify.
Lastly even if you forget all whats going on....
Trump has been president since 2017. That means he has allowed aid to Ukraine (under a very corrupt regime even his people said that the regime under the former president was very corrupt). So why did he not fight corruption then? This also makes the excuse that Trump does not  like giving aid laughable.

The branch with prosecutorial powers wins!

And here is what he said:

“I have the utmost respect for the mission of the Office of Inspector General and the comprehensive work that went into the report prepared by Mr. Horowitz and his staff. However, our investigation is not limited to developing information from within component parts of the Justice Department. Our investigation has included developing information from other persons and entities, both in the U.S. and outside of the U.S. Based on the evidence collected to date, and while our investigation is ongoing, last month we advised the Inspector General that we do not agree with some of the report’s conclusions as to predication and how the FBI case was opened,”John Durham said in a rare statement.

Nothing you have continued to post is impeachable only reasons not to vote for him.  And yes it is a show trial with no first hand evidence that is the definition of a kangaroo court.  You cannot convict of a crime on this evidence and you are looking for a  high crime.  sigh.  And yes I am biased against the obvious nonsense that these politicians keep rolling out there.

plenty of evidence you are ignoring... the biggest being that the White House is refusing to follow subpoenas, allow Mulvaney, Bolton, Pence and others testify.  That right there is obstruction of justice.

Poor A1 .... had to move his goalposts AGAIN.

Wait for Dec 9th!   IG Report!   Arrests coming!  Washington Post, NY Times are LYING AND COMPLICIT!!!

No actually they were spot on, you were wrong AGAIN.

But wait!!

Now let’s change it to “Wait for Durham!!”. Surely he will prove my conspiracy theories ...

LMAO

The desperation is both utterly predictable and pathetic.
