Last year's 5th round pick Otomewo...cut
Last year's class looking a little 'eww'. I see the Broncos cut their 4th round LB from last year.
Crazy as it sounds, there are some on here that will try to sell you it might be one of the best draft classes we've ever had.
Like who says that?
The voices in his head that keep telling him things to reassure him he is a victim and everyone are a bunch of dumb dumbs who pick on him.
Just because he's paranoid doesn't mean we're not picking on him.
Can always count on you to pipe up with some dumb shit and you never disappoint Maroon. Just go back to schmoozing us all on how great the 2022 draft class was. That's working out real well for ya
Just don't forget it was ME who said that, Supafriend. So a year or two from now when various internet twatwaffles say "Jiminy Crickets! Nobody could've foreseen..." you'll be there to correct them. "Well..." you'll say with crushing shame and diffidence, "one guy did." Skol Bruvva.
And that steak dinner bet is still on the table Bruvva...

I think it's a helluva lot better than the fucktards give it credit for. According the Daniel Jeremiah, three eventual starters is a successful draft. Four is a home run. Ingram, Asamoah and Evans are all starters this year, with Ty Chandler and Jalen Nailor looking like impactful contributors. 6th rounder Vederian Lowe has a future (albeit on another team now). For a 7th rounder, Nick Muse looks like a decent pick. And this doesn't even count Cine, who will almost certainly be our starting safety when Harry hangs it up.
If you think that's a bad draft, you need to look around the NFL. Hell, just look at the year before with Mond, Surratt and Wyatt Davis all taken in round three.
i think by those metrics it should be by say the end of year 3 or 4. ( some positions and players take longer to develop, and ideally you would be drafting to replace guys on your roster that are set to make a huge hit on your cap that you either trade at the end of year 3 for a nice return, or you let them walk for that comp pick commensurate to their contract) , and that should be actual starters for the team that drafted them. I dont think a player that is released by the team that drafted him should count as a win for the GM that took him though, to me that says it was a failed pick because he either didnt need him, or didnt have the coaching staff in place to develop his talent, that pick would have been better used on improving a different pick to target a higher rated player, or used on a player that better fit your team. I see Vederian as a loss, we bought him for a 6, invested a years worth of time and resources into him, and have a 6 to show for our efforts. sure it was nice to get a pick for a player we were likely to cut, but lets not lose focus on the fact that he was likely to be cut and once again, should be viewed as a failed draft pick IMO.
to early to make any declarative statements on last years draft IMO, except for passing on Hamilton, mother fucker really screwed the pooch there. you know how to replace a ring of honor ND safety.... you draft another future ring of honor ND safety. :# but my therapist says I am going to get past this too.

...and that's what I thought.
For someone so positive our 2022 draft class is littered with future all-pro's and reminds us every chance he gets, you sure don't sound very confident

I thought the draft broke perfectly for us with Hamilton, Jordan Davis, and Jameson Williams still on the board. I didn't think we could have gone wrong with any of them. Then seeing us trade all the way down....with the fucking Lions...inexplicable
Are we getting old draft gripes out of the way?
Treadwell over my table-pounder Hunter Henry.
Bradbury over my table-pounder DK Metcalf.
Trade-down over my table-pounder Jordan Davis.
(check the tape)
J-Jets, we agreed.
Hallelujah! ()
I feel better.

I'm kind of curious as to how often we'll plan on going big nickel. It seems like we're much more set at safety than corner.
Agree. I think we'll see big nickel a lot, given the downhill styles of safeties like Harry and Cine. While I like our top two corners, there's little doubt our 3rd and 4th safeties are better than our 3rd and 4th corners.
Don't you think Flores has a plan for that? After all, I think a gifted coach can see the talent he has and find the best way to use it. I think Flores could be that special coach. But I also would not underestimate the potential the cornerbacks have. Still concerned about pass rush, without the blitz. But I think the back end will be up and down for the first part of the season. I see the offensive and defensive lines as the weak spot once again. If I'm wrong, they could be a pretty good team by playoff time!
