Has nothing to do with internal clock. What is he supposed to do? Change reality? He has no time and players have to be into their routes in order for him to throw but the defense is already on him.

I've wondered the same thing.  Obviously a talent shortfall exists but perhaps some things could be done with blocking scheme.
