Listen, this is a game the Vikings could very well lose. Its going to be cold and blustery in Buffalo. They've won 6 straight, and they won't be going 16-1. Its a road game against a very good team.
It's interesting to me how the narrative from the beginning of the season to now went from just putting it in the loss column to "a game the Vikings could very well lose."
I like how we match up. These are two very talented rosters, with Buffalo's obvious advantage at QB, a player who won't even be playing. Refill your heart meds, this should be another good one.
Again, two things: not saying they won't win. And you tend to see the sunshine most of the time, which is cool. My point is they won't win every one. And this could very well be one of them. The Vikings have remained competitive in every game but one and even in that game, a few plays would have made it much tighter.
Vikings have the next 3 at home after Sunday, which is awesome. If they get a W in Buffalo, regardless of how they look, I'll be very impressed.

For the most part I agree with you. I don't think anyone looks at this as all sunshine. Pretty much, expectations are higher this year than previous years due to the team being under sort of new management. No one thought the Vikings would be sitting at 7-1 and leading the division, Hell I didn't. And realistically, no one thinks the Vikings are going to win the rest of the games. We know that they will drops some and the media is going to rip them apart for it and maybe some posters. But I do see a winning season and some playoff games. To me that is a hell of a good start for a new HC and GM moving forward.
Even without Allen, Buffalo is a 3.5 point fave. But, if your going to lose one, this is the one to lose. A game against a non-conference foe.

Exactly!
If I had to choose either lose @ home to Dallas or on the road @ Buffalo?

I meant the opposite of what you think I meant. Early on, every one of us put this game in the loss column. Now, to say "we could very well lose," means we've come a long way, which is great.
Also, the sunshine you see? Those are golden rays of reality. It only SEEMS overly optimistic in an environment of extreme pessimism, which is the default position of most Viking fans. Understandable, given our history, but I try to suppress mine. :-)
So every hour that passes McDermott and staff ask Allen how he's doing? That would get really annoying really quickly. B)

As expected Poyer and Rousseau out. But a glimmer of hope for Allen? He hasn't practiced all week. I doubt he's going to play. Probably just gamesmanship.

I hope he plays. I think the best thing for this team is to play better opponents and force the O to keep pace. Defensively I think we have a shot at controlling the damage, the bills are still going to hang points on us, but I dont think our D is going to let them go ape shit with the scoring. I want to seem the D take away Diggs and keep Allen contained, and see what happens next... On O, smash mouth football, we need to come out pounding it down their throat and then if weather allows throwing over top of the sucked in safeties.

30mph winds, rain and snow mix. There isn't going to be big points on this game.

I don't think it makes much difference. Sure, Bills are a completely different team with a healthy Allen. He's responsible for 82% of the Bills yardage and 92% of their TDs, which is insane. That said, he's NOT healthy and he's been playing like shit lately. Normally, going from an Allen to a Keenum would be a huge downgrade. Right now, I'm not so sure.
