Come on. You and everyone out there knows darn well that rape and incest are just red herring talking points. Its no different then the NY deal where you can “abort” a baby after its born full term. Both are talking point meant to get their bases worked up so the masses keep donating and voting.

I personally believe that a pre birth baby deserves their right to life luberty and the pursuit of happiness. I see it more as a “whats right” rather then a religious/political issue which is what its been turned into.

I have no idea where to find statistics but on rape. Id dare say most rape victums know they were raped prior to 43 days after the fact. As for incest?  Good luck finding statistics on that lol. I can only imagine that were talking an almost meaningless number when it boils right down to it. BUT dont let a good talking point get away from you.
Holy shit...that's both the stupidest and potentially most horrible post I've ever seen on this site.

As someone holding a degree in behavioral science...I'm just amazed that anyone could dismiss acts that are violent, controlling, wildly damaging on every conceivable level, and among the worst acts humans can commit on one another.

Truly fucking terrible.  I don't know if your parents or society failed, but that's the post of a truly shitty person.

As for what a "pre birth baby" deserves...and I find the topic of abortion to be brutal from all angles...the dismissal of the massive collection of events that a woman goes through during pregnancy is mind- blowing.  Similarly, treating women's bodies as state property (which these measures do, by any intelligent consideration) is at least as appalling as cancelling a young life.  As much as the GOP claims to be about "saving babies" and "family"...well, it's up there with the rest of the party's hypocrisy including the desire for "smaller government" (har! they want departments of morality police in our bedrooms).

The Deep South is reminding everyone why they're seen as so challenged, in so many ways.

This wasn't about morality, or about babies...it's all about a truly horrifying kind of power-mongering.

Spare everyone the "sactuary states for tiny people" fiction, given that the same people screaming about pro-life support laws that try to deny parental/marital rights to same-sex couples (ooooh, A1J is gonna be less-than-fresh about that topic), act to cut social programs (including ones that help to feed, clothe, educate, and medicate children), and support legally harassing people of color on the basis that they might "look illegal".

Meanwhile, the "smaller government party" thinks they should have use/refuse rights on women's wombs...effectively making their reproductive organs property of the state.

Truly fucking horrible...and people actually defend this shit.  1984 was a warning, not an instruction manual....
Poorly worded by me.  I'm not defending any rapist or incest'er.  I'm saying when it comes to abortion rights the left automatically runs towards rapists and incest and the right automatically runs towards full term baby abortion and babies in dying garbage cans.

I'd like to add that you can be small government and be for protecting peoples rights.  I just believe people become people sooner then you obviously.

And you'd rather the violence continue to the women and babies via abortion?
End the cycle of violence, bro.
Not all of us are so lucky to have fortunate conditions of conception.  Don't be a conceptionist.

That is the most disgusting, fucked up thing I've ever read in my life.

I pray you don't have daughters or granddaughters.

So if your little girl was raped as a 12 yr old, you'd push her to have the child.  Then what?  You know the rapist has rights too.  Do you invite him over for Christmas and Thanksgiving?  Pat him on the back, tell your daughter she must accept him as the father because we can't all be so lucky to have fortunate conceptions?

Holy fucking shit.

Defending the rapist rights over the victim's.... I've seen it all now.

SICK.  Stay in your backwoods, banjo playing, incest isn't so bad and rapists have more rights than victims universe but stay the fuck out of the lives of sane, normal women.
Left abortion answer like precision clockwork:
Daddy's daughters getting raped....check12 year olds gettting raped....checkRapist rights.....checkIncest....checkCalling everyone who disagrees with you a bunch of names...check
Its all here boys and girls.  Nearly every left talking point on abortion.

And yet the bill says NO EXCEPTIONS, that's what has people fucking stunned.  No exceptions for rape or incest, that's what was voted on if you bother to fucking read the bill instead of crying about liberal talking points.  That's not a talking point, that is exactly what the bill says so fucking get over yourself with your babbling deflection.

Either you agree with it or you don't, you want to agree with Alabama who voted to allow rapists to force their victims to give birth, then come out and say it.

Fucking 3rd world country held hostage by the religious right.

...and, yet more "I'll tell you your mindset" spineless bullshit on here.  No wonder so little debate goes on between the actual points.

As I said above...I consider the whole topic of abortion is brutal, from all angles.  I wish the "sides" spent more time talking and less time screaming...but that's today's political climate in general.

I don't pretend to know when the "soul arrives", when a lump of dividing cells attains "personhood", and so on.  Truth be told, I'm something of a fan of the "heartbeat" deadline...but that's from the standpoint of a guy, who doesn't have to go through anything like the women do.

However, I am staunchly opposed to any measure that basically enslaves ANYONE'S organs to the state.  As much as abortion is a potentially tragic end to a barely-cognizant being, taking away an established human's rights over their own biology is, again, enslavement...and it's absolutely big government power mongering.

There are things worse than death, and a woman going through most of a year with waves of hormonal, medical, physical, and emotional changes for a child she does not want or even may be the result of assault/abuse...is putting the woman through hell right here.  Plus, as any functioning person knows, the story rarely ends at birth...as her body has to repair itself, her mind/emotions are going through their own changes, and...

...well, I can't imagine not leaving that choice up to them.  America is supposedly about freedom and choices, and these horrible, cowardly, and power-mad molestations of legal rights are all about curtailing them.  It's hard to imagine a more vicious power grab...but, many of the same people that are all for cutting programs that help children insist on having power over their arrival.

That, in and of itself, should be reason enough to see the situation as filth with power addiction.

Meanwhile, on the other side:

pissant marginalizing rape, despite its massive damages to the victims and society: check.
...claiming the "I think people are people younger than you do" bullshit high ground: check.
Not addressing what happens with those children and their unwilling mothers:check.
Not addressing the points of the state controlling women's organs: check...horrifyingly.
Complaining about name-calling after saying truly brutally, terrible shit...then grouping everyone disagreeing into a single category: check.

Making a stupid list that's easily mocked and marginalized because the author has both gregariously misspoken (supposedly) and hasn't dealt with any deeper issues on the topic...check.

So I did actually find rape and incest abortions.  http://www.numberofabortions.com/
They account for .97% of all abortions which is actually a lot higher then what I would have thought.

Whenever abortion comes up its the numbers that truly horrify me.  We've had 61M abortions since roe v wade.  We've had somewhere in the neighborhood of 175M born since then.  We're aborting NORTH of 25% of all potential babies.

Its a genocide and its fucking disgusting.  To put it in perspective the Nazi's killed 6 million in death camps from 1942 to 1945 which just barely beats the rate we're killing babies annually in America.  Anyone who supports that has their maker to answer to when their time comes.

Well, nothing says "we care about kids" like a state laying legal claim to women's organs while being dead-last in education.

Do you not think Alabama's "no exceptions" thing was a direct response to New York's "kill em in the crib" abortion law?
Its just political theater to get their voters in a frenzy.  The Supreme Court wont hear Alabama's appeal when it ends up on their desk.  This one is DOA.

I think that Alabama should care about Alabama, and not play stupid games that are making a divided country worse.

I hope every single person involved in this quagmire is impeached/fired...and then imprisoned.

Impeach and fire them all.  Orange man bad.

Then we can replace them with Jill Gary Johnsonstein.
