Weather forecast for Sunday in Buffalo is rain/snow mix with winds gusting to 30 mph.
sounds like a good day for Madison to get some carries.
I'd include the "Hammer" getting more snaps.

a couple weeks ago I noticed while watching the Packers vs the Bills that GBay had more success with a down hill pounding rushing attack than the quick cutting in the hole approach.  I remember thinking at that time the AM would be my primary back to soften up the bills front and then hit them with the shiftier and more elusive Cook.  Wouldnt hurt to take a few carries off Cook once in a while either.
Packers rushed for over 200 yards against them. Regarding Cook and Mattison, I wouldn't switch their roles--to me there's no comparison in talent level--but I might give Mattison a few more carries than he typically gets.

^^^ This. Cook should still be the primary back but a little more Mattison wouldn't be a bad thing

See, we disagree. I see almost no difference in talent. Just different styles. mr

Whatever the breakdown, please KOC, run the rock.  The o-line thrives on it, does it well and would be a good game to establish that part of the offense.

Wow. I think Mattison is a very good backup, could probably start for a 1/3 of NFL teams. But he doesn't have Dalvin's vision, elusiveness or speed. He might have a little more power, but even that is negligible.

Watching Xs&Os with KOC on Vikings.com.  Lots of good tidbits that KOC offers.  In regards to Allen's question on 4th quarter fitness and conditioning, KOC has an interesting take, something like pacing themselves on offense, but more to the not using up everything in the playbook, or not being unable to take advantage of the opportunities in the 4th quarter.

Wasn't always sure about the young minds movement at HC, but this guy seems to have that innovative mind that sees things others don't.

Had thought on Cousins sticking in the pocket delivering when he is going to take a hit.

I think Mattison is a lot better than given credit for.  He is a more punishing runner and I think if given the opportunity he would be putting up numbers similar to Cook in terms of YPC.  He has shown to have good hands as well.  Hes not lightning quick like DC,  but DC doenst move a pile or carry defenders like AM has this year either.  AM looks better this year with his additional muscle than what we had seen in the past IMO.

Unfortunately Kwesi will have a hard time keeping him beyond this year. But he has the potential to be a key contributor in what could be a playoff year.
SKOL Vikings! Kings of the North,...........for years to come.

Listen, this is a game the Vikings could very well lose. Its going to be cold and blustery in Buffalo. They've won 6 straight, and they won't be going 16-1. Its a road game against a very good team.

It's interesting to me how the narrative from the beginning of the season to now went from just putting it in the loss column to "a game the Vikings could very well lose."

I like how we match up. These are two very talented rosters, with Buffalo's obvious advantage at QB, a player who won't even be playing. Refill your heart meds, this should be another good one.
