Honestly, of the potential HC candidates, Harbaugh would be my first choice, BUT...

1. His brash style conflicts with the “happy, go-lucky, how ya doing” BS that we apparently are after. Theres nothing to smile about - until you start winning.  Win, and youll get your smiles.....Personally, I dont care if people are greeted with a middle finger each day - I want a lombardi trophy before i die.

2. It also goes against the trendy “youth movement” of coaches hired and having success. Age is just a number, frankly Id rate experience over youth, but thats not “stylish”

3. This whole thing could be “driving up his price” for wherever his intended target.

4. Kwesi, comes into a new position and throws around a few names that “shock and awe”
to prove he is a “mover and shaker” - Doesnt necessarily mean we land ANY of them.

5. Harbaugh IMO gives us the best chance for a quick turnaround, and a championship bid, so the Vikings wont be able to lock him up....we lose him to another team, we hire another HC, and we hear the “We got our guy” mantra normally reserved for the draft.

6. It seems like the Vikings cant coach QBs with any success, Harbaugh MAY be able to instill some passion in Cousins, and take the handcuffs off of him BEFORE we are 10 to 14 points down.

"Informed Michigan of the interview" seems like the most important part. I'll believe it's a leverage play until proven otherwise

I know he had issues with Baalke in SF, but maybe there was more to it than just Jimmy Boy being a dick. Apparently Byron Leftwich wouldn't accept the Jags job unless they replaced Baalke with Adrian Wilson. It might just be a case of a coach just wanting to pick who he'll be working with, or it could also mean that maybe Baalke isn't the fun one to work with.Regardless, I can't wait for the coaching hire to happen already, no matter who it is.

Countering the claims of being difficult to work with
Another source noted that Harbaugh is extremely positive, consistent, and honest in his demeanor and dealings with players and coaches, countering the frequently cited narrative that Harbaugh can be difficult to deal with as completely false. One source emphasized that Harbaugh — a family man with a quirky personality — has an incredible work ethic and mind for the game.
Harbaugh is friends with actor Jason Sudeikis and was a loose inspiration for the Ted Lasso character from the Emmy Award-winning AppleTV+ television program, consulting with the Big Ten Conference Coach about gameday wardrobe choices after getting to know each other when Harbaugh appeared on the television show “Detroiters.”
Harbaugh is battling a perception that he’s grumpy in a way akin to Zimmer. However, those who know him well say that is a completely false assumption.

Agreed. And Harbaugh does not give two fucks about what he's thought of by others, so he's spent zero time refuting the rumors about him being 'hard to work with'.
