Police shooting of Jacob Blake: Protests erupt, Wisconsin DOJ to investigate
Protests erupted overnight in Wisconsin after video appeared to show police officers firing several shots at close range into a Black man's back Sunday night....

not looking good so far. Allegedly the man stopped to break up a fight between two women. The police responded and somewhere between their arrival and the video, this somehow became about Jacob and the police.
Rumor is, he was looking to leave as he had his children in his car.
Wisconsin DOJ better react quickly because this will be ugly the longer they wait.
poor training, poor thinking, and ignorance lead to this shit
Surely this can't be true...

(CNN)Jacob Blake, who remains hospitalized after sustaining multiple injuries, is now handcuffed to his bed, his family said.
Blake's uncle told CNN on Thursday that Blake's father visited the Wauwatosa, Wisconsin hospital where his son is recovering from at least one surgery. He was "heartbroken" to see that his son was handcuffed.
"This is an insult to injury," Justin Blake, the uncle of the victim, said. "He is paralyzed and can't walk and they have him cuffed to the bed. Why?"
Blake, a 29-year-old Black man, has spent several days in the hospital. A Kenosha police officer shot him seven times in the back on Sunday while trying to detain him, state investigators said.

They were quick to go handcuff him to his hospital bed because he is "under arrest" but had no problem letting Rittenhouse walk after:
- He was seen operating a firearm in public
- Shot three people while cops watched
- Walked past multiple cops
- By standers shouting to cops that he had shot people
As to why that happened, here is the explanation...
Quote:As for how the gunman managed to slip away, David Beth, the Kenosha county sheriff has described a chaotic, high-stress scene, with lots of radio traffic and people screaming, chanting and running, conditions he said can cause “tunnel vision” among law officers.
But guess what? There is no "tunnel vision" when it comes to Jacob Blake. He is a terrible person with a checkered past even though there still is no reason why he was shot let alone seven times in the back and now paralyzed (hopefully not permanent).
It is a miracle he is still alive. Anyway, I will not be surprised to read here based on the history and views expressed on this board by some before, that he should instead be grateful to the cops for not killing him as he should be dead because of his past and the police were acting in self defense.

Law and order is the new dog whistle for the the right to rally around. Like I say beyond anger, just worn out by this cult of self righteousness hiding behind any excuse to avoid any responsibility.
