Obviously the winking face means it’s tongue in cheek, but Dude
was a Nazi or at the very least was tattooing himself with common Nazi symbols. The people who invited him to America to
participate in the games could easily have picked from a myriad of Ukranians
that didn’t have Nazi tattoos. They didn’t
despite everyone knowing that Nazi’s are not uncommon in the Ukranian military. They shouldn’t have put anyone in the
position of having to give an award to a Nazi.
That’s fucked up, but it’s especially fucked up that they made Jon, a
Jew, do it.
That said I highly respect that you are suggesting that we
listen to the content of Jon’s message and judge that rather than choosing to ignore
him outright because he did something widely reviled.
I think...well, I won't speak for JS' state of mind, but he certainly has the ability to accept/refuse any gig out there...so, if the kid were giving him severe jackboot and red armband vibes, I kinda doubt he'd have done it.
Tucker, meanwhile, would've likely offered to do an entire special on how the 10-20% of one division in all of Ukraine's military justifies his buddy Vlad launching a campaign that's deeply into 6 digits of dead.
IIRC it wasnt a kid that was being honored, it was an actual 98 year old living nazi soldier from WW2 that caused the stir.

Huh...admittedly, I didn't see it. I looked up the reference, and what came up was the wounded kid with the ridiculous nazi arm ink.
As for the old bastard, I remember him separately, something about Trudeau getting raked over the coals for honoring him. Couldn't happen to a nicer a$$clown.
Until I quit seeing video from the US and Canada of combination Iranian/nazi themed "Palestine" protests shoving us around (along with that hideous nazi march in Nashville), I'm going to assume that both countries' leadership, at all levels, is completely broken.

Zanary is right,
there’s two separate incidents:
- The
first one involved the US inviting veterans to a “Warrior Games” competition
at Disney World and they gave a more modern day Nazi a “Heart of the Team”
award.
- The
second was in the Canadian Government where they brought up an old school literal Nazi from
WW2 where they were celebrating his heroics against the Russians despite
the Russians being our Allies in that war.

holy shit, once again when you think America has gone as low as a country can go , good ol Trudeau comes along and says "hold my beer".... how much longer before we have to start looking at building a fence on our northern border to keep the illegals out?
Honestly...I'm genuinely worried that one of these "pro-Pal" rallies is going to touch off a wave of brutal vigilantism, because the very same people that have been lulled into over-politeness and put up with traffic blockages, airport delays, and piles of shrieking idiots that have ZERO idea what they're actually saying...are gonna snap. I'm watching comment sections on news stories and the like, and it's about 10-1 with people saying "next time, just run the ****s over" and/or suggesting addressing mobs of aggressive protesters with mobs of armed resistance.
The main reason that this worries me, is that the core of my being agrees on all counts...and I can see that I'm far from alone.
While I'll never shed a tear over some babbling antisemite getting humiliated/incarcerated for disrupting our lives, my rational side realizes that citizens acting on their own could escalate this into a bigger cultural war VERY quickly, into something that it doesn't need to be.
I stumbled across this clip today of Kennedy explaining how things came to be in the Ukraine with Russia, seems our govt is as much to blame for the mess over there as Putin if all this checks out historically.

...that's the thing, if it all checks out. The important trick is to get the information from neutral sources, and a variety if possible, and certainly from ones that are known for offering best levels of objectivity.
However, "as much to blame" when only one country launched an invasion, used hypersonic missiles on apartment buildings, and kidnapped huge numbers of children on the way to a 2-year-old conflict that's already claimed most of a million lives. I've heard many versions, including the mess in this video, of the "blame-splaining" the invasion...and leaving out Russia's paranoia, love of inciting border conflicts, and determination to rebuild a new Warsaw Pact from the ashes of the old is just sad.
There's no way to call the blame "equal".

Well if Kennedy is right, and it's US involvment that has extended the war and is responsible for its escalation, then maybe it's better to say the US is largely responsible for the reactions of Russia as the US seems responsible for the escalation at many moments over the past decade plus.
If you doubt the source, then go find your own, I am just sharing what I found from a different source than those that usually get pissed on around here.

I've posted plenty on the Ukraine conflict, and I've also weighed in on that particular tinfoil hat specialist...so, to say the very least, I don't consider him to be much of a source. The fact that he has to be reminded of his former stances regarding science/medicine and how hard his own (admittedly scandalous and pretty terrible) family works to distance themselves from him...
...he's a conspiracy whackadoodle with a resonant last name and a speaking voice like a tree chipper.

Dude, you can't even type coherent sentences, but label another person a whackadoodle? I would love to see your attempt at one coherent post. I don't think we'll ever see one.
