I think Hunters stats reflect his full tie role as LDE, much like BRob didn't rack up the stats he was integral to the DL success by doing what is asked of that position. Keep in mind before Griff got hurt he was leading the league in sacks and had at least one in like the first 8 games straight. Did Hunter play a role in allowing that productivity? He also doesn't get run on on that side hardly at all.
First post here. I think you can say the same for Diggs. Seemed like a common theme where Diggs looked to be a decoy to get Thielen open. That's why I like this team so much, no one seems selfish. They sacrifice their numbers for the betterment of the team.
Welcome to the board!

Welcome indeed.
Interesting thread...
I think in this Defense, this scheme, Barr is very under-rated by many fans. Within his position he's got assignments that frankly leaves more splash opportunity for a kid like Kendricks and the position he plays.
Very glad to have both...The sum of them together is greater than 1+1 = 2
Similarly to how I feel about Diggs & Theilen.
Not going to say who is #1 or #2 between AT and Diggs, but I will say the most important ability is availability, and Diggs is dinged or out quit a bit which makes it tough to really focus a game plan around him which makes it tough to consider him a #1
Hunter and Kendricks are must sign guys. Diggs is as well...I'd guess he's gonna be odd man out but who knows at this stage yet.

I would agree that the team is very unselfish. I think Diggs and Adam do well for each other. Just makes me wonder if Adam would be the same if he was opposite of an average player.

LOL... You just can't give Thielen any praise can you, Can? Any praise seems to be with the caveat that Diggs is better at X or has Y or Thielen only produces because of Diggs.
When Diggs missed 2 games, Thielen had 5 catches for 41 yards (against Baltimore) and 9 catches for 96 yards (against Green Bay). The year before, he had 7 catches for 127 yards and a TD (against Houston) and 8 catches for 53 yards (against Detroit).
Those look like #1 WR numbers to me and he would have had Charles Johnson or Treadwell playing opposite of him. Why can't you just say that Thielen is a good WR and Diggs is a good WR. They both can be good players right?

well with Diggs often absence, or at least not playing close to healthy, you can check the numbers, he has proven that he can be effective without Diggs running with him. Adam just has a knack for finding holes in zones or lulling guys in man to sleep.

The only thing I wonder is if defenders are still not taking him serious? No reason not to, almost 1000 yards in 2016, improved immensely in 17. But I can't help but think that defenses still don't respect his talent.

and I hope then never do. hes one of those guys that knows how to use speed... and when to use it. his game is so much more about being a technician than physical skills. hes got some CC in him that way. nobody really understands why they get open, but they do.
