Business records using campaign finance money for a federal election.  This isn't just fucking around on your local NYC taxes.
Exactly. A federal election. Charges were seen as to weak by a Biden appointed DOJ. To weak by a state DA’s office entirely occupied by Democrats.

There is no case. And I hate the pompous asshole.
You keep saying there is no case, yet laws were broken were they not?  Break out your legal expertise hat and tell us why no felony laws were broken here.  Tell us, why did Cohen go to jail?

It's fraud with intent.  The fraud was paying for "services rendered" which were fictional charges to cover up hush money payments made.

The question is why did he do it?  The intent was to stop information from being released to the press during an election cycle that could have been damaging to him.

If anyone of us did any of this, we would be charged with a crime.  He's no fucking different, nor is Biden, Hillary, Obama, Bush.

You can pay hush money. That isn’t illegal at all.  People and companies do it all the time. NDAs are signed each and every day. Publishers buy exclusive rights to stories all the time.

Its my understanding that what might have made this different was how it was recorded?  But I haven’t dug very far because

1.  I don’t particularly care if Trump rots in jail as long as the rules are applied equally to all politicians.
2.  The statute of limitations has passed making this a non starter from the word go.
3.  Because of 2, this is political theater.

Good lord.  If he broke the law, he broke the law, being President doesn't make you immune.   Does anyone here falsify business records?

If NYC wants to prosecute businesses for illegal actions, they should.  The taxpayers should be happy that the city is prosecuting cheats, liars, and crooks.  That's where taxpayer money should go.  His CFO was found guilty, is there a witch hunt for Allan Weisselberg?  His attorney was found guilty of the crime of falsification.  Do we want accountability in the judicial system or not?

This is a weak case but still a case.  The bigger ones are coming, not just to derail his campaign, because he is a potential crook and fraud.  But if you feel that he needs money, donate to him for his campaign err legal fund.  Just make sure the campaign money isn't paid to pay off porn stars like it was in 2016

Let me guess, conservatives now want to defund the police and DOJ
let me ask,  why start here?  is he the biggest fish to fry?  is he the biggest crook in NY?   hell the statute of limitations on the case has past so its really a non-winable case for NY,  this is 100% about derailing his campaign and zero about justice in NY,  but like I said,  not my candidate, not my tax money,  but I am afraid that we will see more of this stupid bull shit in the future and the real losers will be the American voter/ tax payer.
It's election campaign finance fraud for the highest ranking position in the land, it needs to be tried considering how fucking bad campaign finance is broken.  It's also been ongoing for years now starting with Cohen.  If Trump wasn't running for POTUS again in 2024, then would this be acceptable?  Are the next cases on his plate only about stopping his campaign or they are about the justice?

Hush money . . . to influence a federal election.  That is illegal which nullifies your 3rd point, it's not political theater, it's law breaking using campaign money.

Amazing how you know NY law more than the NYC DA's office.  They must be wrong regarding the statute of limitations, you nailed it!

But the delusional logic is that GatewayPundit is the same kind of outlet as CNN.com, lol. If you discredit all sources to equal levels, nothing is the truth!!

Yes, anyone who drills down and looks at this knows that the FEC not proceeding is not due to the evidence: "The commission’s decision, made public Thursday, was the result of a deadlock between Republican and Democratic members during a meeting in February. Four of the six commissioners must agree to proceed with an action."

Hi Jimmy -- I am truly interested in your view of our taxpayer money being used by Jim Jordan to investigate the $5k of federal money used in the NY Trump investigation.

Speaking of political spending of tax payer money, there were 7 congressional investigations regarding the Bengazi attacks at a taxpayer cost of $7 million dollars and what did McCarthy say about the results:

Quote:But the Benghazi probes had “done their job,” according to U.S. Rep. Kevin McCarthy, who had this to say about all of those investigations. He told Sean Hannity on Fox News, “Everybody thought Hillary Clinton was unbeatable, right? But we put together a Benghazi special committee, a select committee. What are her numbers today? Her numbers are dropping. Why? Because she’s untrustable. But no one would’ve known any of that had happened had we not fought and made that happen.”

Oh, I'm not a fan of this particular witch hunt. I think its weak.....and I hate Trump. Is it illegal? Yes. But some people think this is a massive deal...it isn't. He's done FAR worse than this.

Having said this, my point still stands about GatewayPundit type outlets. Fucking garbage and isn't equitable to a CNN level bias. By any stretch.
