take a look at who the Eagles have beaten, not very impressive either… alot of games left to be played!
The difference is that while we barely squeaked out wins against our opponents, the Eagles have 5 of their 8 wins beating the other team by 9 or more points. A SB caliber team should be able to dominate the shit teams on their schedule. Obviously, it won't happen all the time, because any given sunday, but it should happen some of the time. We're just not a SB caliber team yet, but there's still plenty to be optimistic about, we're exceeding expectations, and we have a lot of room to grow into a SB caliber team.

kinda saying what I am saying, there are promising signs, but not enough evidence yet to get me excited for anything to come of that promise. Good teams will some times just flat out shine, this team is more like a twinkle light at this point, they shine brightly but only for a brief period of time and then out again, thankfully their moments have out paced that of their opponents so far, but at some point the run of back up QBs or other lucky bounces will end and we will need this team to go out and play a complete game from all 3 facets.
I think the most promising thing I have seen to date is the turnovers and sacks on defense this year. even though they are giving up a lot of yards per game, they are winning in some key areas, remember the ol zim line of give me an offense that scores 22 points ( or whatever it was) well our D so far is only giving up an average of 20.1 PPG, so for a new scheme to be holding teams down like that .... I am happy for now. Remember when winning against the run was key and forcing the opponents to win through the air, well our D is 7th in yards per carry at 4.2 and 10th for RYPG at about 112, could be better, but very few are holding opponents to under a hundred on the ground anymore. (4 teams) all this while the O has had its share of issues with 3 and outs. Not every drive needs to end in points, but offensive 3 and outs are both demoralizing and exhausting for that teams D.

I said this coming out of the bye - the offense needs to step-up and lead this team until the defense can catch up some. Well it looks like the defense stepped-up in DC while the Off overall sputtered again. It is great that we are winning but sooner, rather than later, the offense needs to click for us to win. Kirk needs to use his veteran leadership and put it on his shoulders starting this week. Good comeback under duress from Kirk last week but we really should not have been down 10 in the 4th quarter with better overall offensive play. Heck the defense really only gave up 10 points and would have had 2 Int's. Kirk and our skills need to step up and play a full game for us to beat good teams like the Bills, Cowboy's etc..
Yep, the league should show a team’s record as Win, Impressive Win, Loss. B) although we’re lacking in the IW category, we do currently have a better actual record than the entire AFC. :p
Any NFL win is good, especially on the road...So I dont want to take anything away from the win vs Commodes or 7/1...
Its awesome and if you can't relish that? Well so be it.
But as to the point of another thread on here, the next 3-4 games will tell us a lot more than the D looking good against Heinecke.

Some of the long timers just can't enjoy anything. It'll never be good enough. I almost get it, but why watch the NFL if you can't enjoy the ride?
I’ll be on an airplane headed for Mexico when this game is being played.
My first thought is to buy Southwest’s Wi-Fi, use a VPN and try and watch the game. However, I’ve had spotty service on Southwest sometimes and can see myself getting frustrated with a glitchy feed. Also, if the Vikings are losing it could make the flight less pleasurable, and it could kick off my vacation on a bad note if they lose. So, I may forgo watching the game. Wait until I get to the resort we are staying at, check in, get a drink, get some food, then check the score. If they win, watch the condensed game.

Have fun, Rip! Love Mexico. Where are you going?
