This election has gotten a good many on edge. While I cannot agree with the OP's choice of words I understand the anger. It's been a month now and several dozen failed lawsuits. Secretary of state's governor's and election supervisors all saying one thing and Trump's side screaming steal. How much longer does it go? Biden voters are feeling like they are being robbed of the victory they know is coming. They are tired of Trump's people getting to play victim. For his part President elect Biden is not fanning the fire. He's playing by one social standard while Trump's side breaks all of them.
It's is aggravating the longer it goes on. Personally for myself. Where else you going to find the kind of comic relief that Rudy Giuliani and his expert witnesses provide? ...lol..
I used to admire Rudy. The big mob prosecutor. Jeez was that a long time ago. Now I just hope he gets better and retires while he has a shred of dignity left. That man's been getting @ss handed to him and all he has for a defense is waving his 3 ring binder of evidence that nobody's buying.
i dont agree with Trumps antics if they arent merited, i am reserving judgement on that until the courts have all had their shot, you know... due process. however, I personally dont feel bad at all for anybody from the left that is having a hissy about Trumps unwillingness to accept defeat when its pretty widely known how the left has treated Trump the last 4 years including their unending attempts to admit defeat and trying every which way conceivable to have him removed. I have basically tuned out and will likely be the last one to know how this all turns out.
its the holidays folks, lets all try and tune out the shit and enjoy the season.
How long and how many court failures does this due process take? I won't debate how you feel about what's been done to him. I'm well aware over the years. I didn't come here to stir any pot. I heard about a crazy thread over here so I checked it out. I figued while I'm here... I'm really not going to go back and forth with anybody. This thread was a train wreck from the start. I thought I added a touch of civility to toot my horn.
To me. This is the last 4 years. I'll never expect normal from him. You know he's not the 1st man to be impeached? Hey if this is his revenge it's kinda lame and pointless. Maybe dangerous?? This is really about making money now...imo. He crazy but he's no fool.
Yall spent 4 years. I would expect Trump will spend the next 4 years complaining about how he was cheated and then try to run again in 2024. To me the running again in 2024 is the interesting question. Will Republicans want to try to go down that road again or will he pull his 20% away from whomever the GOP nominee will be.

Republicans will not want to go down that road again. The farther down that road they go, the farther away from reality (and the changing American demo) they will get. Arizona and Georgia are just the beginning. Texas will soon follow.
Plus, once this administration is over, we'll start to hear from White House insiders about just how batshit crazy it was on the inside. We've already heard a lot of it, but it's nothing compared to what we will hear once jobs are not at risk.
Trump may very well run in '24, but he won't get the nomination. Once we have distance from this administration, most Republicans will correctly view the Trump years as a big orange stain on its history. What's more, as you suggest, he'll pull all the Trumpists away from who will likely be a very reasonable GOP candidate, who, to them, will sound like a Commy.
Trumpism has and will continue to damage the GOP for years to come.

Oh the stories that will be told once this admin is shuttered. I'm sure every dang administration has stories to tell, but this one promises to be the show-stopper. It's going to be jaw-dropping, fabulous, and down-right scary all in one.

I liked the Republican party better when they were against frivolous lawsuits.
So by saying Trump would pull 20% of the red vote out are you admitting what I'm saying Trump is only about Trump?

I really liked this Editorial( note: not news)
https://www.cnn.com/videos/politics/2020...on-vpx.cnn
How this quote from Abraham Lincoln relates to Trump's base New Day
CNN's
John Avlon explains how a quote from President Abraham Lincoln, made
during a time when America was bitterly divided, applies to President
Trump's attacks on the US presidential election. Source: CNN
"When the shepherd drives the wolf from the sheep's throat, the sheep thanks the shepherd as a liberator, while the wolf denounces him as the destroyer of liberty." -Abraham Lincoln
Trumpists seem to actually believe that our system of election is "under seige." And that their protests and lawsuits are an attempt to "restore trust in our government." Fox banners read "restore election integrity," "demand transparency," as the Trump campaign "fights for free and fair election." When in reality, what they're doing is the exact opposite. Using, as Lincoln called it, "the wolf's dictionary."
It's amazing to me how many don't see through this, and still question the veracity of Trump-appointed judges who've said repeatedly in a string of more than 40 failed lawsuits that the cases had "no basis in fact or law."
And yet some still believe the election was stolen. Anyone care to explain that to me?

I just want a fiscal conservative. Someone who says we need to either balance the budget by making drastic cuts, drastic increases in taxes or a combination of both. I think we should live within our means as a country and stop this bullshit of kicking the can.
I'm heavily in favor of a war tax. The military is meant for defense not offense. If we want to kill brown people in the middle east for oil we should ALL have to pay, not just the ones who have loved ones risking their lives. It should automatically come out of someones paycheck or retirement regardless of age or income. Everyone should have skin in the game.

Trump is an extremely arrogant man but I think you almost have to be to be a politician. He just didn't do much of a job of hiding it. I'm pretty much on board with saying Trump was about Trump. I'm quite sure he'll run. I'm pretty sure he will not get nominated. I don't know if he'll run on an independent ticket or not. I'd probably say 50/50????

I'm not saying I aint for doing what's necessary right now to keep people afloat, keep em fed and from evictions. But it's coming at a tremendous cost.
