Interesting rumor and likely to get lots of clicks. Sort of doubt it tho, but who knows with all the twists and turns at our QB spot.
PA said on radio it's likely Bradford will be activated and he will be the back up with Teddy not suiting up. Very unlikely there will be three QBs suiting up.
well that is very interesting and somewhat confusing. I cant see them not dressing Teddy if they had any intention of bringing him back. to shelf a healthy Teddy to me speaks volumes.
Speaks volumes about what? That they don't like him? I think we all know better than that. IF this is true, and PA is probably just spit-balling, then it probably means they are more concerned about his knee (and whatever residual impact it has had on practice performance) than Sam's.
How does that make any sense? Teddy was the #2 QB less than 2 weeks ago. Liking him has nothing to do with anything. I saw video of him practicing yesterday, with full movement. Just like the other QBs.
I mean, c'mon now....yes, if Teddy twinged something than I get it. But he hasn't been on the injury report at all. For anything. That doesn't make any sense. If Teddy doesn't suit up and he's not injured, this is a big tell as to how the organization might feel. If it walks and talks like a duck, its a duck.
But having said that, don't they have to take Bradford off of IR before they can activate him?
...
speculation aside, ask yourself if you want 2 or 3 active QBs on gameday. If you want 3, or can justify 3, then... well... there you go. If you think 3 QBs active is a waste of a gameday roster spot, than you have to make a decision.
In my opinion, if Bradford is anywhere near healthy and able, I think deactivating Teddy isn't any kind of sign... Bradford is the better option. He knows the offense. He has been practicing as of late. It's not exactly the situation it was against Chicago.
I would go with 3 QBs. In the event someone else would have to enter, i'd place a bet on Bradford coming in and creating his own rhythm and playing the type of ball we know he can play. I'd want Teddy active just to be prepared for the possibility that Sam isn't healthy/mobile (basically a show like that Bears game). ... and, I probably wouldn't want to rip Teddy soul out with the deactivation, lol... that's rough; contracts are coming up...
Even with the extensive break this season, I think Bradford, with his ability and familiarity in this offense, is the easy go-to-next with everything on the line. I love Teddy in purple. The front office does, the coaches do. It's not about that at this point... Teddy has had half a season of practice after missing a lot more time than Bradford has. Teddy hasn't really played in this offense. Bradford can "create a play" like this is Madden in this offense. He know it. He knows coverage, he knows defenses. His battle is a downhill one, whereas Teddy is battling uphill.

yes they do. but that will likely come tomorrow after he gets through todays practice... if they are indeed going to go this route.
Zim is refuting the reports, says no decision has been made yet and that Sam has a long ways to go.
says he thinks Sam could play but has not made him active yet.
nothing determining the status of Teddy if Sam is activated.

Sam Bradford - QB - Vikings
Andrew Krammer of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune expects Sam Bradford (I.R., knee) to be inactive for Sunday's Divisional Round game against the Saints.
Bradford appears to be healthy after returning to practice last week, but Mike Zimmer has never dressed more than two quarterbacks during his Vikings tenure. The Vikings would also have to create a roster spot for Bradford, who is currently on injured reserve. Teddy Bridgewater will back up starter Case Keenum on Sunday.

I dont think “Like” enters into it. Probably means they believe one is more likely to win than the other.
You really thought I meant "like," as in personally?
At least no one's asking about the 2009 game anymore.....
