$7.69 is the average hourly pay for a Papa Johns Delivery rep...

Below the poverty line. I dont know how you live on that.

Maybe as a supplemental income.
Do you tip your delivery driver?  I would think they can likely get at least 2 deliveries an hour and I would like to think at least a $5 tip so that pushes the wage to closer to $18 an hour and those tips rarely get reported so basically they are tax free income.

Also,  only 7 have been hospitalized with 0 deaths and 3 have been released.  I saw those numbers about 2 minutes ago and texted my co worker back to see why his text made things sound more alarming.  Certainly a very concerning virus,  but not as bad over there as he made it sound.

I do question some of the actions being taken by retailers that are cutting their store hours.   they will still see the same number of people,  but now they are forcing those people to all do their shopping in a more condensed window of time.  How is this supposed to help stop the spread of the disease?
I work for one of the retailers that is open across the country (except in a couple of places where we are not classified as essential). I was grounded from travel some time ago and am working from home like all of the rest of the corporate office.

Store hours are reduced now but that allows more time for the employees to thoroughly clean the store. And we are encouraging customers to shop online for home delivery or curbside pick up. If a customer enters the store (starting next week), they will be escorted by an employee at a safe distance. There will be fewer employees in the store but they are all being paid, even if they choose not to work.

My entire week has been spent on store closings, responding to locations with employees who tested positive, rescheduling projects, trying to get supplies to stores, etc. I've been with this company for many years, and this has been the most intense days experienced.

Got some bug, I think it's something much more pedestrian...but I have to do an "e-visit" and possible testing tomorrow.

I work in heavy truck parts, including some emergency vehicles...so, we're considered support for critical services.
Good luck and try to stay safe.  I work in the cafeteria of a meat packing plant. Also considered "critical infrastructure"  Social distancing? Ha!  I regret that I have but one life to give for your pork chop :p
