I hadn’t really considered HIPPA laws when it comes to QB’s knees and such. But I have to wonder what the implications are when it comes to athletes, NFL rules, contracts, team doctors and team management.
For instance teams arent allowed to misinform when it comes to an athletes health and ability to suit up for the next game. But how do they really know about said athlete if he has a procedure done by his own specialist?
There must be some clauses in the players union contract which limits HIPPA when it comes to athletes ability to play the game.

i am assuming that anything through the team/league that HIPPA laws are contractually waived or at least the intent of the law is neutered, but as andrews isnt an employee of the team or league I have to think that he is bound unless released by the player.
Most of us know about Dr. Andrews but he never appears in the press or releases a statement, probably associated with HIPPA.
But the team must have the ability to ascertain his actual thoughts and opinions about his clients. Maybe that adds a little weight to Zimmer mentioning that it is degenerative? IDK...

I would think that is part of a players contract is for them to waive their HIPPS rights in regards to the team, or maybe not?

You would have to think that some these guys who have become household names would be on Sports Center blabbing if they could or at the very least someone would corner them for an interview.

So you think his knee is bad and Andrews is just fronting for him? Based on what besides your imagination? If the outcome were problematic Andrews could not comment or take a neutral stance like, "Sam needs to continue his rehab and see how things progress."

I hope like hell Sams knee is great because him and Teddy are my 2 favorites in this mess.

The statement by Andrews speaks plainly on the subject. Hipa laws, saying he's too fkd up, andrews can't say a negative word in public... what is all that? Sounds like a heavy implication that he's lying for some reason.
You talk about his reputation, what's his reputation if he says Bradford is good and 8 months later his knee gives out again? He said what he said, I take it at face value because there is no reason not to.
