If he isn't thr first defender off the board come draft day, I'd be shocked

And may I also say, for a defensive front that needs upgrades at every position, there is some nice talent along the interior this year. Byron Murphy, Fiske, Sweat, Newton and Kris Jenkins all look like really good players. To me, it's close between Dallas Turner and Byron Murphy for my favorite defensive player in the Draft. Either would be huge additions for the Vikings

Its funny, Minnesota could get an excellent edge player at #11....somebody that would probably really help the D. But all I can think about is TQBOTF, lol.

Has this team ever really legitimately obtained one of these players you speak of…!?
Culpepper
Bridgewater (we can argue how high of a ceiling)

I think they drafted Kramer too.

Tommy Kramer

School:

Rice

Position: QB

Heisman Voting:

5th in 1976

Draft: 1st round, 27th overall of the 1977 NFL draft by the Minnesota Vikings

Kramer had 1 full season in his career with a passer rating over 80, threw 156 INTs as a Viking and had a lower passer rating than Tarvaris Jackson. Vikings should have been looking to replace him after the 74 picks in his first 3 years starting.  So this "will they/won't they" ride we're on now is the same thing the Vikings have been doing to us for 40+ years.

And yes, I was in front of my TV for Kramer to Rashad.

Oh how quickly people forget our boy picked 12th in the draft Christian Ponder! I too like to block out that pick.

For defense, I like a lot of the edges in this draft. One in particular I’m a fan of is Chop Robinson. I really like his stop start ability.

I liked Fiske a lot on tape and I’m a little bummed he performed so well

That 40 time might clinch that. But he's always been the quickest, bendiest pass rusher in the draft. I think Verse has a better bull rush though.

Rumor I've read is Minnesota is super hot on 2 Edge guys and if they can't move up for a QB, will be fine taking one of them at #11.

Braden Fiske. 6-4, 292, 4.78 forty. 4.37 shuttle (Aaron Donald's was 4.39). Not the longest arms (31), but he'll probably move up after killing the rest of his combine. Fiske is currently ranked 45th on DJ's big board. Vikings have pick 42.
