The site in the OP Transcend Media Service, what's their story.  Kind of looks like someone's website,  no advertising, in their "About Us" section they say they cut and paste articles of interest, no editor in charge.   WTF does exclusive analysis mean.  So it's the same story as all the other places.

Here is this months array of articles of interest, a veritable cherry tree of opinions.

https://www.transcend.org/tms/

TRANSCEND Media Service-TMS:
"As a nonprofit outlet, TMS provides a platform for exclusive analysis, research and policy comment on local and global affairs without commercial or profit means or objectives. We don’t pay/charge for any materials or contributions. Our copying/pasting from other Internet outlets aims at disseminating items we deem relevant for peace and conflict-resolution workers and students. We cover political, economic, social and other subjects such as nonviolence, activism, conflict resolution, mediation–worldwide."
There's no pleasing you guys.  I post Breitbart...rejected out of hand.
I post a liberal (non-profit peace and conflict resolution?  C'mon man...that's lib) link...and it's challenged.
Can't win.

Ummm Savanah where is the paper, and how do you know what the results indicate.

Zactly!  That's the whole point.
Obv....the results seem to indicate mask mandation is "iffy".  Reading the tea-leaves from the OP link.
I though you read it?

Who are the "others" that are awaiting the "yuge" study results, folks with a conformation bias fetish?

Oh and here is the full context of your bolded quote, the good DR. Bundgaard doesn't want anything published outside of peer reviewed  publications, So what is your point, or are you implying a conspiracy?
"But of course it cannot be ruled out that the three medical journals take the view that the data base in the Danish study is flawed – that, for example, there are too few corona-infected people in the study to be able to draw clear conclusions about the protective effect of masks on infection with the new virus.
In this context, it is worth noting that the study was carried out predominantly in May, when the pressure of infection at home [in Denmark] was greatly decreasing.
Quote:“This is the world’s largest study of its kind and is expected to be an important factor in the basis of regulatory decisions regarding mask use.”
— Henning Bundgaard, Professor and Chief Medical Officer, Rigshospitalet
The study’s spokesman and lead author is Professor of Cardiology and Chief Physician at  Rigshospitalet [i.e. the Copenhagen University Hospital], Henning Bundgaard. He strongly stresses that he wants to be in charge of research ‘of high quality’.
But the professor cannot enter into a discussion about what the study might show or relate to the information Berlingske has received from other study authors.
However, he explains that he is ‘sorry’ that the study has not yet been published in a peer review journal. That is, in a journal where research results are assessed by independent peers in the field.
“This is the world’s largest study of its kind and it is expected to be an important factor in the basis of regulatory decisions regarding mask use – not only in Denmark – but everywhere. That’s why the publication is urgent – and we’re doing what we can on our part,” he says, continuing:
“If I wanted to publish things outside of a journal, I would have done it a long time ago. But there are a whole host of scientific reasons why I don’t. The research I want to do must be of high quality, and this means, among other things, that other researchers must be able to see my data before publication and look through calculations and statistics in order to assess whether they come to the same conclusion as us. This is an essential quality criterion for good research.

Did you read this or just look for supportive things to quote.  The author wants this published in a peer reviewed publication and verified before it is distributed, that's science not rumor spreading.

I think you meant that's rumor spreading not science.
Anyways.....but yes...I read that section.  And yes... it is possible that this is a crack-pot study.
You've read the CV of the authors....you've read their protocols/methodology (and not negatively responded, btw)...instead of asking me why I believe them, why don't you provide proof these Danes are charlatan quacks with
poor methodology?  Of course the authors want top-journal peer review.  They're proud of their work, and want the notoriety top-journal reportage provides.  You're surprised?
Actually, I can tell at this point, you think I'm onto "something'.  Thanks!

Point of note 5,000,000 Swedish Krona is equal to 578,000 USD not really that big of a study.

In a socialist state, that's a fortune.  Smile

Don't really care if it's liberal or right wing, that's how you may determine accuracy, not me.  But you are correct about your status as a winner, I'll give you that.

With out a peer reviewed paper there are no results, iffy or supported, I'm not the one implying any.  Science isn't reading tea-leaves, rumor spreading is, spreading unsupported innuendo is what you are doing.  How can you make any conclusions just looking at the methodology?

Like I said, I just did a waste of time dive down a rabbit hole,  to check out your OP about the conclusion of a Danish mask study.  And found, once again, nothing to support your plausible but fallacious argument that it is being suppressed by some nefarious conspiracy.  In my opinion you find some gratification presenting confusing or illogical arguments to deceive your audience into being impressed with your intelligence or agenda.  Sorry you have achieved neither in this instance.

This. Its always some kind of mic drop with Savannah on all his posts like he 'won'. lol. Drowning the reader in suspect sourced links and outright ridiculousness does what exactly? Smacks of zealotry. Its too easy to dismiss.

The fact we're even having a discussion on masks at this point is ludicrous and absurd...

I'm sure we'll have a similar discussion when a vaccine is available to wipe out this contagion.
My family and I are mask wearers in a sea of non wearers. However, I see no reason to not have discussions about their effectiveness esspecially if theres data that says what kind works best etc.

Just let them thin the gene pool, it may the only thing our decedents can look back as a positive accomplishment to this era.  Could be our best shot at salvaging a legacy.
Unfortunatley covid doesnt kill many people until way past breeding age.

Yeah, well there is that, but there would be some, and eventually you can hope that we achieve herd immunity.  I mean it  does pick off a few, and  if you use 18-29 years, prime breeders as the base line. The 30 to 39 year old's are 4x as likely to die, but if you throw in that the age groups voting for Trump being above 30 there is hope, under 30 are not very impressed.

“The other age groups, 30-44, 45-64, 65 and over, it’s a pretty close
divide between Biden and Trump. So it’s really young people who are
overwhelmingly anti-Trump and that’s really noticeable.”

Now this is my speculation, and not peer reviewed, the newspaper article is just a quick reference of MIT numbers I used for convenience.

So therefore, if we limit the pool we are looking at to just those of voting age, that kind of makes things look better.   If younger folk reject Trump/white nationalism, and the younger end of the pool is increasing, you know not passing away from covid.  If the older end of the pool is being culled by non-mask wearers vs smart folk, dying of covid , this is looking really much better.  I'll stand with my initial assessment.  Damn AGR are you playing checkers at a chess tournament or what.

If you are old and not wearing a mask because of "liberty" and "tyranny", you deserve what is coming to you.

The sooner we can rid of the trash of our society, the better we will be to repair this one, build a new one

If you are an antifa registered sex offender and running around assaulting peaceful people, you deserve what is coming to you.

Couldnt agree more with both. Both categories are dipshits and if they meet their make due to their stupidity, so be it.

What if you are a sex offender who is lying about your voting registration and the voting process in your state?  What do you deserve then?
BTW nice job trying to equate millions of people who are putting everyone else in jeopardy to another boogeyman.

Kyle Rittenhouse is a boot licking brainwashed kid who showed up to a city on the brink in another state with a loaded firearm.  He will deserve the lifetime of punishment he will receive in jail, or all the "giving" he will have to do for his "A" brothers to protect him
