No, I'm going to go watch those Lincoln Project victory lap ads, hoist a tall one and hope for some great young candidates to capture my imagination tomorrow. Hell, Ossoff might just be one of em.
A black man who preached in Dr. King's church and a Jewish liberal who interned for John Lewis...winning Senate races in GEORGIA. It's a beautiful day.
I told my wife last night there is no way a black and a jew are going to win both Senate seats in Georgia. NO WAY.

White old Catholic man like Biden? I can wrap my head around, not these two Senate candidates though.

We'll see if Ossoff pulls this off.

It's a new dawn and a new day and I'm feeling good. Thank you Stacey Abrams and LaTosha Brown for all your hard work in Georgia. Ground game was absolutely phenomenal.

Good guys get control of Senate
There are no "good guys" in politics.  Both flavors are out there to screw you.

I'm glad that team blue can take a victory lap and do what they're going to do.  If you're hoping for progressive politics Biden is going to disappoint.  I hate the idea of either party having control of all 3 branches.  Each time that has happened on either side of the aisle its been a disaster.

I guess the silver lining is these $2k checks that we're all getting now.....did my family of 4 just profit $1400*4= $5600???

By the way, with Biden saying he was going to issue $2k checks with Georgia victories, did he just buy votes?  And when can we start the impeachment process?

At the bold... at least we get the good flavor. I'll wait for Biden to at least unveil his policies before I get "disappointed". How did the drain the swamp mantra, build the wall effort and MAGA campaign work? Let the Dems have a turn controlling all 3 branches. I don't remember Republicans complaining when they controlled all three
At the italic: After we process your earlier request to impeach trump for the Georgia call a few days ago.

I hated it when the GOP controlled everything as well.  As for Trump, he accomplished some of his financial/trade goals.  He would have been re-elected had he not been such an asshole to everyone.

AGR, I do like talking politics with you cause you're level headed and somewhat conservative like me too...IMO, what's happened with storming the capital today? This moves Trump way over on the continuum past asshole.

He's clearly the most DANGEROUS man to wear The POTUS badge.

This is how he will be remembered, not a fiscal boom before a Pandemic managed incredibly poorly.

This is so true...

It's almost mind-boggling the impact of their work - on THE NATION

Looks like Ossoff will beat Perdue and Warnock has beaten Loeffler. Good guys get control of Senate. Both drew numbers better than November, suggesting Trump's post-election petulance had an impact.

Interesting for sure. I wish some members of the GOP in the Senate weren't SO conservative, really giving the whole party a bad look. I really don't like Democratic fiscal policy at all. In fact, I hate it. But getting Trump out was paramount. The few members that continue to back him are just filth.

I'm hopeful a more moderate candidate is elected in the next Presidential election cycle, regardless of party. I see the Lincoln Project is taking a victory lap with recent ads....my wife likes them but I wonder if that's a little bit lowering yourself to a different level.

You don’t like Democrat fiscal policy..... But democrats have to fix the fucking republicans fiscal disasters.... Every. God. Damned. Time!

Like seriously do people not understand that our entire nations fiscal outlook would be that of every shitty backwoods fucking red state town? People piss and moan about democrats and yet... They have to bail us out every time. I mean it isn’t like there isn’t decades upon decades of data to back this up or anything. And still this stupid fucking idea pops up constantly.

Don't agree at all. Tax and spend does what exactly? I know you tend to get extremely worked up over politics, Mike, but there are differing opinions on fiscal responsibility and the party's differences.

It is shocking to me how many people think that republican administrations are better for the economy, when the opposite is true. As you say, the data is out there and its pretty clear: Jobs, GDP, Wall Street, debt, deficit, states..whatever metric you want to use, dems almost always come out on top. Supply side economics (trickle down) doesn't work. Never has, never will.
