Sigh.

Either the Vikings are very high on Samia's upside or they're very low on the readiness of Cleveland or Collins or whoever it is.

Does that mean Samia has the RG job even if Elflein returns?

No, but it probably does mean that Samia is being groomed for that spot when Elflein leaves via free agency in the spring.

Right, he is finishing his 4th year and rookie contract, I kind of forgot he has already played here 3 years, does not seem that long. If he's humble (and honest about his performance), I could see the Vikings re-signing him to a modest contract to be a backup C/G.

If Elflein doesn't have a future at RG, maybe they shouldn't turn the starting job back to him.

Samia is similar to a lot of O lineman Rick has drafted. Not enough lead in the pencil. Elflein, and to some degree, Bradbury are the same way. They may be ok or good at run blocking, but can't hold up to the bullrush.
Samia should retire, move to Spain, and take up bullfighting. Ole! He makes the Elf look good.

either way,  Samia (and his pencil?) are out for Sunday,  no word on who gets the nod in his place.
