I think it means the Vikings are looking to add a veteran on the outside to pair with Dantzler since Gladney (and Hughes if he's healthy) will play the slot. With all the youth we have at CB, it makes sense to get a young vet who can play right away rather than drafting another guy we need to develop.
I still feel like these moves and FA interest mean we're focusing on OT and DE with our first rounder.
I agree about our 1st rounder, except I'd change OT to OL. Dru Samia and Kyle Hinton are the only guards on the roster. Also, sounds like we're interested in Mac Alexander, too, who's more of a slot. Either way, Iike I said, I hope we land one. There are going to be some tempting corners at 14.
While you (and I) were sleeping: The #49ers agreed to terms with LT Trent Williams on a six-year, $138.06 million deal with $55.1 million guaranteed, including a $30.1 million signing bonus, per @elsportsllc @loyalty24_7. The NFL’s new highest-paid offensive lineman.
Highest coverage grade when lined up at outside CB since 2018:
Jaire Alexander 90.6
Richard Sherman 89.0
Stephon Gilmore 87.7
Adoree Jackson 85.6

You all thought I was joking when I mocked them Jaycee Horn!

No. We knew you weren't. It's still @#$&! frustrating to continue to spend premium draft capital on one position with a CB guru.
I wonder if I can retroactively get insurance coverage of my TV.
This signals the Vikings aren’t done. They still want to sign someone in the secondary and an offensive lineman. They have plenty of cap space if they move Adam Thielen’s money around. And can create more by extending Harrison Smith. twitter.com/dduggan21/stat…
Most guaranteed money spent in free agency since 2016:
1. Jets ($341 million)
2. Jaguars ($318 million)
Worst record in NFL since 2016:
31. Jaguars (25-55 W-L)
32. Jets (23-57 W-L)

Agreed. I get that adding another corner is a need, but I do not want to burn another 1st rounder on a corner. Other areas of the roster need attention.
Maybe you don't but Mike Zimmer does. :p

We'll see which O-lineman they end up with but was told bringing back Reiff is still a viable option. He is simply exploring what his other opportunities are.
One possibility that I didn't think would happen: #Bears could wind up parting ways with veteran CB Kyle Fuller today. His cap hit is $20 million and absent a contract extension to lower that figure, it could happen. That's the buzz around the league right now.
