From the comment section in the article:
The penalties seem like they were somewhat the same until you look at the fact that Green Bay received 5 first downs due to penalty and they were at crucial points. Compare that to Detroit receiving 0 first downs due to penalty. It was the difference in the game. I'm not going to say that they didn't deserve any of the penalties. Obviously, the 12 men on the field penalty isn't the refs.

Packers should be 2-4 this year/
Not that it matters, but whatever they should be it doesn't seem to be effecting the power ranking people...  I see ESPN stuck them at #5 today and they certainly don't look like a team deserving of that imo.

I took a look at team yds & points statistics and across the board it's really difficult to accept them at 5-1, or really even 4-2.  I don't know, would you look at these and guess that they belong to a team with the second best record in the league?

Offense:
17th in yds/game (13th pass & 17th rush)
14th pts/game

Defense:
21st in yds/game allowed (13th pass & 23rd rush)
9th pts/game

Btw, the only one of those better than the Vikings is pass yds/game by a bit, but Kirk also has that 98 yard week 1 figured in there.  The other passing stats are comparable.  Sacks given/gotten and turnovers are pretty similar to the Vikings so it's not like their excelling above in one of those either.

It doesn't feel good for us fans when our team is in 2nd place in our division when we won more games than the team in first.

The game last night is why i stopped watching live games. I will watch highlights on YouTube, but I’m not watching anything live. Be it a legal or illegal stream, DirecTv, Cable, over the air, I won’t let the NFL make a dime off of me anymore.

Fuck them! Got tired of the bullshit and last season was it for me. Now i spend my days/nights either working or doing something that won’t bring me down. The NFL is rigged.

to all of you holier than thou folks who think the refs don’t fix games i give you tonight.  unreal
I don't know what the first part of your post is about... but no one can really argue with the second part.  This game reminded me of the Saints tainted win in 2009.  EVERY possible call (or non-call) went in Green Bay's favor.  It wasn't just one or 2... it was at least 4 (off the top of my head)- and all four had MAJOR impacts on helping the puke win.
On one of the illegal hands to the face, it was Baktiari who actually put HIS hands on Flowers' facemask.  But THAT wasn't called.  Nope...
After a loss a couple weeks ago with really bad officiating a poster or two were actually defending the refs and downplaying favoritism for certain teams and certain players.
Driving to work this morning and listening to the NFL channel on Sirius XM just made it worse. They were basically saying the Lions have themselves to blame for coming up short and settling for field goals. So does a team need to have a two score lead just to make sure they can overcome poor officiating?

Interesting...

Per http://NFLPenalties.com , Green Bay leads the NFL in “beneficiary yards” this season, which is when a team’s opponent is called for a penalty.

The Packers have accrued 501 yards through penalties.

Detroit, on the other hand, is dead last with 234 yards.
