This time last year, here were our choices at QB.

Bridgewater, how long can he go in a starting role?
Keenum, I think he had better pocket presence, but arm was questionable.
Hasn't blown ANYONES skirt up in Denver.
Bradford, and...he's done.

Cousins probably in the top third starting QBs, in his first season with his new team.
the way I look at it, he has two more years to get us to the promised land. If he does, everyone will look at this season as "transitional". If he doesn't, we start all over again at QB.

Quote:I was at the game today.  Most of the time Chicago had our receivers blanketed.  Kirk had nowhere to go with the football.  Bears knew what was coming.  Offensive scheme has to change and Remmers and Compton are embarrassing.

Cousins fleeced Spielman.
Athletes don't fleece anybody. Spielman fucking blew this one. Athletes always "are who we thought they were."

It is doubtful that Keenum or Bridgewater could have done any better today unless they ran a lot.
The offensive line just got whupped again by the Bears.
The last meeting they ran the ball 14 times for 22 yards and Zimmer wanted more of that.  Wow!
If you cant run and you cant protect for longer than a few seconds then the defense can sit on your receivers knowing they will get to the QB before the receivers get open.
The Vikings really need a 3rd receiver and it is too bad Treadwell is just flat out sorry.

I disagree, Kirk and Sam are the same QB.

Last time Bears played in MN they held Sam to 5-11 for 36 yards 53 QBR for 1st 2 Quarters, about what Kirk had today.

Case Came in and went  17-21 141 yards 110 QBR and beat them in the second half

I cant compare last year's team to this year's team.

It is not the same nor were the Bears in this example.
So what is the point?
The logic fails.  For me.

It shows he isn’t capable of rising above the mediocrity that has been known as the Vikings under Zimmer.  This is a team that has won very few big games and more often than not been blown away by better coaching anf better talent.  Cousins is merely a part of that, but the problems with this team run deeper.

I'm not suggesting this is the case. I hope not. But, if the receivers don't have faith in the QB, the defense won't either.
The defense had it's flaws, but when they would get three and outs or turnovers, the offense couldn't capitalize. In fact, they would often go three and out themselves.
That has to be frustrating.
If they ever think the QB can't deliver, it will be a long season.
