Or something isn't right with the Redskins.

quite true.  Using the Redskins as a basis for common sense doesn't work.  But just don't think Cousins or Case will be worth the dollars they get.

I'm not sure how I feel about this. I really haven't studied Cousins. He's put up some pretty remarkable numbers considering his supporting cast. In ours, he just might be elite. Color me undecided until further notice. I will say this, though. I'd rather have Cousins at 30M than Case at 20M. Actually, the term is what's more important to me. I don't want to commit to Case long term. The money involved is secondary.

hes had decent receivers over his tenure in DC,  maybe not as much this year, but there have been some decent targets for him in the past.  somebody ran down a list the other day and it was more than the trash that some try to make it sound like he's played with.

Not bad. DeSean Jackson was good and Jordan Reed is elite if he could ever stay healthy. Doctson is in and out of the lineup. Their backs are nothing to write home about. I don't know, like I said, I have to watch him with a critical eye before I know how I feel about this. As you and I both know, stats never tell the whole story. I've heard part of the reason is that he tends to throw picks at inopportune times. (As opposed to those "opportune" times, right??)

One thing in his favor is that it would really piss off Denver and I'm always happy about that. :-)

We said trash this season, Jimmy. Not the whole time.

I wasn't sold on Kirk until this year. Performing at a similar level without Garcon, Jackson or a healthy Reed is what seriously impressed me.

Now don't get me wrong, he will press at times. Trusts his above average arm more than he should.

But Diggs and Thielen should help with their uncanny ability to make contested catches. And he'll  make the Keenum crowd happy with his focus on making  chunk plays while also keeping me happy with being smart enough to take what the Defense gives him.

The guy is absolutely a Tier 2 QB.  Same as Stafford, Carr, Ryan, etc. And those guys are getting paid big time.

The Tier 1 guys are taking less because they are older and already have several big contracts under their belts and can afford to take smaller deals to keep their window open.

Kirk will want 25 per year and he should. It's commensurate with what the other Tier 2 guys have been getting lately as the Salary Cap keeps rising.

you arent the only one that has pimped him.   its been said that he hasnt had decent receivers and that is wrong.  and I still think his decision making is questionable at critical times which makes me wonder how well he would handle the pressure of a playoff run.

Better than Case if for no other reason than he has a much stronger arm and will have Cook to provide the Offense with balance, which has been sorely lacking in Washington.

His stats are comparable to Smith who is replacing him, but with more int's.   He's clearly a physical upgrade over Keenum but I have no idea if he is ready to lead a team to a title.

I don't know, I heard this morning that Colin Cowherd says Denver is close to a deal with Cousins
But that would be tampering I would think.
