There aren't moving pieces, but there are different ways to calculate it. The difference between the numbers is likely that some use cap space and some use "effective" cap space, which takes into account rookie salaries and the fact that the team will eventually be required to fit 51 players under the cap. There are also estimations that may or may not include the amount of money committed to certain players if they're on the roster at certain dates in the new year.

One thing's for certain, the Vikings are in good shape in terms of the cap, and the amount of space they have is going to go up significantly with the release of Harry and a JJ extension. Even more so if they re-sign Hunter.
What's more, the estimates for 2025 cap space, somewhere between $120M-$150M, should offer a good place to stack dead money if they so choose.

Unless you draft the next CJ Stroud, you're not making the playoffs with a rookie QB. Williams, Daniels, Maye should all be able to start week 1 and might have the goods to get it done, but there's absolutely no way any of the second tier guys should start unless in case of emergency. Let alone counting on any of them to get us to the "wild card or beyond".

15 times, so not unheard of. Stroud this year, but last year was Brock Purdy, if you build a quality team, you don't need a veteran pro bowler to get to the playoffs. Here's a few more examples.

That said, there is no way I would re-sign Davenport. I could see the allure at the time, but he is a big fail as a Viking.
