OK, my point isn't to say that all these young QBs are crap. Just the opposite. I think they're all good QBs. Every one of these guys is capable of winning a Super Bowl. But they're not perfect. Just like Tua. Just like Cousins, they have bad games, bad stretches of games. And just like Kirk Cousins, you’ll hear from critics who will talk about all the stats in the 1st paragraph.
And as I type this, I see Dallas is down 4 TDs and Prescott has been horrible. And despite having an MVP-like season, if he drops this game, or even if he doesn’t, there are going to be millions of people tomorrow who question whether or not he’s a good QB or not.

Why its so good IMO is because it brings much needed perspective to this board for QB play. Whether some of the naysayers of the team, Cousins, KOC, etc. will admit it or not, its not nearly the shit show they make the team out to be. But there are some important decisions on deck for the direction of the team upcoming.

1000% this but I think the inverse is true too. If you look at the QB first round busts over the years, yeah it sets a team back a season or two. But it’s not the death sentence some seem to fear. Trey Lance, Zach Wilson, Dwayne Haskins, Josh Rosen, Mitch Trubisky. All huge, huge busts. The biggest I can think of over the past few years. The teams moved on. Some teams are good some are still floundering. If Rodgers doesn’t get hurt the Jets are probably a playoff team. Bears have Fields and picks. Niners are a SB favorite.
Point is, even if worst case scenario does happen, worst case scenario isn’t that much worse than where we already are. For some of these teams, it’s better.
I think a lot of the problems when it comes to QB expectations is they are so often unrealistic in every sense of the word. In my opinion, this stems from beliefs and stereotypes that are just not true when looked at objectively. It isn’t just fans that can fall for these false narratives, front offices and coaches often do as well.
Probably the biggest one, which I repeatedly point out, is the idea that there’s a magical QB out there who is going to take the team on his shoulders and get them a championship. The fact is, that person does not exist. Even the GOAT, Tom Brady, exemplified this. There’s no world in which Brady had the success he did, without a corresponding top level defense backing him up. Tom threw his share of picks and even at bad times, but he could count on the rest of the team to mitigate those negative plays. That’s how teams win titles. They nearly always have to have either a top 10 defense or a defense playing at an elite level when it matters most. There’s simply no way around this without relying on a fair amount of luck. The teams that have won titles without a top line defense or at least playing top level in the playoffs, is near zero. In my opinion, coming to this realization is key to having realistic expectations for your QB.
And I forgot to answer the original question. Strange that the rest of my response erased so here is the rest:
Tua is an average NFL QB. With the right pieces in place (ie defense etc), he’s good enough to win a title. He’s too streaky to be considered much more than that at this point in his career.
