So is Tua a good QB or not?

Jesus, over the last few years, the sports media has been so bi-polar on this guy:

He's underrated.....he's limited.....he's a winner.....now move on from him? So the shit they were saying about him 3 years ago is accurate now? Or the next nice game he has next year and he'll be fine? JMO, but I've always thought he was limited. Tyreek Hill fixes lots of problems, until he doesn't.

A 5-Year Dolphins Rebuild That Was Supposed To Deliver Championships Hasn’t Brought A Playoff Win

The Dolphins finish their season with a 1-6 record in games against teams with winning records. They were 10-1 against teams with losing records.

That means the rebuild has so far led to the construction of the NFL’s mightiest cream puff.

Well, I agree he did not look good, but; it was extremely cold for a warm weather team and I seriously doubt many QBs could have won that game in that favorable situation. You could see that when Mahomes would run, the defenders were afraid to tackle him.

I like Tua and think he's above average - dont think he's elite though.

NEVER believed in the Dolphins as a team this year, never.

I think he's a solid, middle of the pack QB who you can win with. But last night was a perfect storm that caused him to look terrible. Miami hasn't beaten anyone who mattered all year, the Chiefs have a very good defense, and maybe most importantly: the weather. The second the forecast was announced Miami was pretty much drawing dead. The Chiefs were easy money.
Mahomes looked fantastic. Impressive.

Fish looked like a warm weather team that struggles in cold weather.

It's why i love NFL, elements and conditions effects final score

Yeah he's good.  But contending in the NFL generally requires great not good.  Either a great QB which puts you in contention most years, or a good QB surrounded by great everywhere else, which teams maybe can typically manage once or twice during that good qb's career.

What's a good QB? Is Justin Herbert good? In four years, he's yet to win a playoff game. Chargers are paying him $52M a year for that.  Joe Burrow can't stay healthy. And he has never won a Super Bowl. He gets $55. We just had our Trevor Lawrence thread last week. Plenty think he's overrated. Still, he's going to the top-of-market this spring. $58M maybe. What about Josh Allen? Been in the NFL for six seasons. Never been to the Super Bowl. Threw 18 interceptions this year. EIGHTEEN! At least he threw for 29 TDs to balance it out. Not so Jalen Hurts, who threw 23 TDs and 15 INTs. Those are Andy Dalton-like numbers. But he makes over $50M too.
OK, my point isn't to say that all these young QBs are crap. Just the opposite. I think they're all good QBs. Every one of these guys is capable of winning a Super Bowl. But they're not perfect. Just like Tua. Just like Cousins, they have bad games, bad stretches of games. And just like Kirk Cousins, you’ll hear from critics who will talk about all the stats in the 1st paragraph.

And as I type this, I see Dallas is down 4 TDs and Prescott has been horrible. And despite having an MVP-like season, if he drops this game, or even if he doesn’t, there are going to be millions of people tomorrow who question whether or not he’s a good QB or not.
