Vikings NOT exercising Bradbury's 5th year option
#11
Bradbury's spent so much time in Cousins' lap, Kirk's dad thinks he's an agent of Satan  :p

Bradbury was a consensus pick by most analyst and folks on here.  Goes to show you consensus doesn't mean a lot and the draft is a game of chance even with analytics.

Plus its just natural for most fans to find the good in the unknown quantities known as draft picks. We do it here on this board and so do every other team's fans.

Yeppers...just ask Philly about picking wide receivers...lots of upset fans in that part of the country.

From 2016 to now it was pretty tough for Rick in the 1st round (Outside of JJ and maybe Darrisaw). Treadwell, no 1st, Hughes, Bradbury, and Gladney all bad for the Vikes.
Watch Gladney turn out to be a Pro Bowl player.  Found NOT GUILTY.   Vikings had no choice but to cut him, but man what bad luck.

Agreed. It would be very Vikings to have him be a stud for the Cards

If the Vikings exercised the option, Bradbury would have a $13.2 million cap hit.
He will be our center this year and it’s on him to become more consistent. This doesn’t mean he’s done with the Vikings, just that they’re not stupid enough to give an average center $13.2 million next year.
Can he get better than average? We will see. He only gave up 2 sacks this past year, but the pocket collapse up the middle has to be fixed.
I don't think he is anywhere near average. He is a bottom 5 starting Center. He's an average run blocker (very good at getting to the second level) and a horrible pass blocker - huge liability in the passing game.  To think we spent a first round pick on him is nauseating.
He isn't. It just goes to show how bad the OL has been when he is considered average. Hopefully they are turning the corner with new people making the decisions.
