Between Phillips, Tomlinson, Watts, Lynch, Twyman and maybe a draft pick....might not be a bad D-Line rotation. Not sure what to think of the new guy we signed, especially coming off an ACL.

When it comes to depth, there might not be a position more loaded for the Vikings than defensive tackle. They have Dalvin Tomlinson returning from being a starter last season but also have high-potential backups from last year in Armon Watts and James Lynch.Minnesota was also busy signing players this offseason and have inked deals with two defensive tackles this offseason, signing former Bills standout Harrison Phillips and former 49ers defender Jullian Taylor.
Well they have a lot of bodies but do they have any players? I guess we will find out what the new coaches/GM think on draft day.
That is what I keep coming back to when fans are fine not taking an edge rusher or DL because we have all this young depth behind them...  how do we know these guys are any good and/or fits for a 3-4?

Wonnum and Watts are the only ones who have played meaningful snaps...  Twyman, Lynch, Patrick Jones, Robinson, etc are all unknowns at this point AND were all drafted for a different scheme.  Maybe some of these guys stick around, maybe not.  All I know is the roster typically turns over quite a bit when a new HC is hired and you have new FO people.

The best thing about this draft is that it appears to be deep at CB, WR, and edge rusher...  And there are some good DL as well.  All positions the Vikings could use an infusion of youth and talent at...  instead of arguing about what position (or player) our first pick should be, we should be happy that there is a good chance we can address most of these positions with a talented prospect in the first couple rounds.

Right, but couldn't you make that argument about every position on the defense? Everything is new. Not just for the pass rushers, but also the secondary.

One of the positions I think many are overlooking is ILB. I saw Ben Leber talk about this recently. The best depth we have there is Blake Lynch. Now I love Lynch, but he's a UDFA and I'm not sure that Dye and Surratt are the best fits for 3-4 ILB.
