I've seen this GIF so many times and I've got no idea what movie it's from. Departed?

Lots of Lane Kiffin talk on local radio yesterday...
Was the Wilf's plane down in SE FL last Saturday? Where supposedly Mr Kiffin was?
Gotta love the flight tracker rumors. :p
No just no. I think this is just to create buzz. He has plenty of baggage. Hard pass.
Poach Dallas
Moore can step in, run the offense.
Extend and restructure Adam to re-sign Conklin
Roster bonus Hunter to pick up some cap space to grab a vet C and hopefully a vet G. I would love Ben Jones or Ted Karras at center, Tomlinson at RG
Bring in Dan Quinn to be DC/AHC (experience for Moore)
Draft CB & DE - 1st and 2nd round, BPA.
Find a LB in FA
Figure out to what to do with Cousins, either trade and get a 1st roll with Minshew or restructure and hope the tin man finds a heart with new leadership

1. Call me old fashioned, but I would prefer “experience” over youth...
yeah, I know the “youth movement” is all the rage now. I guess thats what todays pro
athlete needs....a “friend”....Someone to tell them how awesome they are.
2. Not sure Id be happy with a coordinator who has worked one side of the ball, with one
team, cutting his HC teeth on my beloved Vikings.
3. Just because he “is intrigued” by the Vikings job, doesnt mean you are the most
qualified. Hell, Im “intrigued” by the job myself, but woefully unqualified.
4. So the last couple of years our defense was allowing teams to score at will....
What tremendous insight does an O coach have to keep teams from scoring less than
30 points each week?
5. What exactly has he done to fix the Cowboys O line issues? I mean, its not like we have
any problems on OUR O line.
Bienemy - Not a fan, how much is him? How much is Mahommes?
Pederson - Has his ring / I want someone hungry
Harbaugh gives us the avenue for the quickest turnaround IMO
...And Im old, running out of time to see this franchise win a championship.
The concerns about his youth and experience are valid. It's worked for some recent coaches (McVay, Shanahan, LaFleur, etc) and not so much for others. On the flip side, we've see plenty of experienced coaches fail when given their HC opportunity.
I'm less worried about his youth and the fact that he's only be on the offensive side of the ball... I'm more worried about getting a leader of men and someone who can take charge of the team. The rest of the stuff can get figured out, but some guys are natural leaders and others are not.
If Moore took the job, I would hope he surrounds himself with some experienced coordinators to help him. This was Zimmer's downfall IMO... remember when he was targeting coordinators with prior HC experience (Shurmur, Sparano, etc)? Our teams were much more successful when he surrounded himself with quality assistants. This past season, you could see the inexperience around him showed up with our team not being able to get over the hump.
It's not hard to see why Moore would be intrigued with the Vikings job. We're one of the few teams with a HC vacancy (Broncos would the only other one) that has the offensive talent to run his scheme effectively. We're 3 deep at WR like the Cowboys, have a stud RB, good young TEs, and young bookend OTs. There is a lot for him to work with on that side of the ball.
Great point about the coordinators. Zim’s decline definitely coincides with the decline in the coordinator quality/experience.

Me Likeeee
I've said this in another thread, but I watched a ton of Boise State football when Moore was there. All of the coaches and analysts raved about just how incredibly smart Moore was and his football IQ would serve him well in coaching after his playing days were over. All that has come to fruition. Like I said, his age doesn't concern me, it's does he have the ability to run an entire football operation and not just one side of the football? I don't want another Zimmer who concentrates on one side of the ball and turns everything else over to his coordinators. With that said, Moores potential upside is very intriguing
I actually like the Moore possibility. I think it would be great if they went with a more youthful approach. If it's packaged with with McClay all the better, they would probably work well together.

Wasn't Kubiak Sr the OC in 2020?
I like the experienced OCs as well, but we did pretty well with Stef. The turnover at OC was the killer, hard to keep continuity and replace that talent every year.
Zim's decline started when they lost experience and talent at the CB position.

Zim's decline started when they lost experience and talent at the CB position.
In 2020, they didn't renew longtime DC George Edwards contract and replaced him with Patterson/Zimmer, both inexperienced coordinators, and when they were promoted, no additional people were brought in to replace them at their old roles. So yes, we've had worse talent, the last two years, but we also had less experienced coaches on the defensive side of the ball.
