Also talks about Will McClay as a GM candidate. Sounds like he got the 'George Paton' treatment from the Cowboys to keep him on the team. Might be an interesting team up with Moore.

Any "insight" provided by Zulgad should be taken with a grain of salt. A massive grain of salt.

But I will say that that's the most intriguing combo to me, so far: McClay and Moore.

Lots of Lane Kiffin talk on local radio yesterday...

Was the Wilf's plane down in SE FL last Saturday? Where supposedly Mr Kiffin was?

Gotta love the flight tracker rumors.  :p

1.  Call me old fashioned, but I would prefer “experience” over youth...
yeah, I know the “youth movement” is all the rage now.  I guess thats what todays pro
athlete needs....a “friend”....Someone to tell them how awesome they are.
2.  Not sure Id be happy with a coordinator who has worked one side of the ball, with one
team, cutting his HC teeth on my beloved Vikings.
3.  Just because he “is intrigued” by the Vikings job, doesnt mean you are the most
qualified.  Hell, Im “intrigued” by the job myself, but woefully unqualified.
4.  So the last couple of years our defense was allowing teams to score at will....
What tremendous insight does an O coach have to keep teams from scoring less than
    30 points each week?
5.  What exactly has he done to fix the Cowboys O line issues? I mean, its not like we have
any problems on OUR O line.

Bienemy - Not a fan, how much is him? How much is Mahommes?
Pederson - Has his ring / I want someone hungry
Harbaugh gives us the avenue for the quickest turnaround IMO

...And Im old, running out of time to see this franchise win a championship.

I want progressive, someone who'll out-game plan the other team and get the most out of the talent.

So the opposite of a Zimmer coached team.

As he should be. Lots of talent under contract on the O.

The concerns about his youth and experience are valid.  It's worked for some recent coaches (McVay, Shanahan, LaFleur, etc) and not so much for others.  On the flip side, we've see plenty of experienced coaches fail when given their HC opportunity.

I'm less worried about his youth and the fact that he's only be on the offensive side of the ball...  I'm more worried about getting a leader of men and someone who can take charge of the team. The rest of the stuff can get figured out, but some guys are natural leaders and others are not.

If Moore took the job, I would hope he surrounds himself with some experienced coordinators to help him.  This was Zimmer's downfall IMO...  remember when he was targeting coordinators with prior HC experience (Shurmur, Sparano, etc)?  Our teams were much more successful when he surrounded himself with quality assistants.  This past season, you could see the inexperience around him showed up with our team not being able to get over the hump.

It's not hard to see why Moore would be intrigued with the Vikings job.  We're one of the few teams with a HC vacancy (Broncos would the only other one) that has the offensive talent to run his scheme effectively.  We're 3 deep at WR like the Cowboys, have a stud RB, good young TEs, and young bookend OTs.  There is a lot for him to work with on that side of the ball.
