Crap...

There goes the draft slotting...
We can find a way to lose to Andy Dalton. Or Nick Foles. Have faith.
True, anything is possible right?

Based on SOS, I don't see anyway we get into the top10.
Right, even if we lose I think our most likely spot is still outside the top 10.  Someone crunched the math and I think if a bunch of games fell correctly we could get as high as 7 with a loss to the Bears...  but more likely we are still at 11 with a loss (sitting at 12 now) and could only go as low as 14 with a win.  I'll cheer for the win.

I'll cheer for the loss. Any chance we have to move up at this point (no matter how small) is still a better alternative then winning a meaningless game and potentially dropping seven draft positions

We are slotted at 12 right now, not 7.  We'd need like a half dozen teams in front of us to win games that they aren't likely to win for us to move up to 7...

So realistically we're talking about moving up one slot with a loss or maybe dropping 2 slots if we win.

I get the sentiment, but dropping 2 slots could mean the difference between getting a Slater or the promise of a Fields or not...

Beating the Bears means absolutely nothing to me - and I hate the Bears and their fans as much as anything.

Just like last year, the Vikings are about to win an absolutely meaningless game at the end of the year to keep us out of drafting in the top 10. My only hope is Akeem Hicks continues his annual demolition of our offensive line
I would rather beat the bears than not

At this point I wouldn't. The only thing beating the Bears does is: (a) assuring Matt Nagy gets fired (which we dont want, (b) screwing up our draft position, and © potentially saving the jobs of Zimmer and/or Spielman.

I read somewhere Matt Nagy has already been informed he's not returning to the Bears next year...

Regardless if we win or lose to the Bears...the Vikings finish second in the division and next year will play teams who finished second in their division.  These teams probably are a lot better than the Vikings right now.

i believe that if we ended up tied with the redskins we would have the SOS advantage.

so if the Skins, Falcons, Browns, and Broncos all happen to win we could move up 4 spots to 8 with a loss in that unlikely scenario.
