Nichelle, Nichelle, Nichelle... THAT my friend is called a burger press. It makes a PERFECT burger patty... and you can do the stuffed ones with a simple twist, detach, and press.
Buy one, you won't regret it. Changed my life when I got one years ago... LOL

Juicy Lucies are great! Just gotta make sure to get one from someone who knows what they're doing. Getting a nice medium burger with a char on the outside is a little trickier with cheese taking up space in the center.
They're super tasty and definitely worth trying.
I've spent the last 2 or 3 years in pursuit of the perfect backyard burger. I grew up with a mom who made the world's worst hamburgers. Doughy bun, juiceless, almost round, hockey puck-like patty. Ick. But then I also grew up thinking round steak was steak and that Chun King was Chinese.
Anyway, I think I've got it cracked. Mine probably most closely resembles the Five Guys burger as long as you don't get it with everything. My God, you don't have throw the whole kitchen cupboard on a burger! Anyway, they get the "char" thing. I'm anxious to try grilling a juicy lucy this holiday weekend.

You need to go to Matt’s B&G on Cedar ave for the real deal. Till you have one of the orginals in the ambiance of the Matt’s you missed it.
According to the article, the place going in in Denver's Berkeley neighborhood is being built and run by a couple of Matt's regulars.
A Juicy Lucy is not just a cheese stuffed burger, it’s a three course culinary experience, a Lucy, fries and beer. If you can get one with a credit card it’s a knock off, on site ATM is an indicator of authenticity.
I got one of these years ago for making pattys it really speeds up the process. I still think the best burgers are made by hand though, its hard to get them from a gadget without over pressing the meat, vs hand shaping to get a loose patty that holds the juices and stays tender through the cooking process.

If you like cherries, order a cherry pitter too. No more cracking a tooth biting into a pit or needing to do the ol' chew and spit the pit (or if you're more refined, chew and spit discreetly into a napkin).
Thank me later.

Well, if your thumbs can pump out perfectly sized and thick burgers faster than my hand press, I'll hire you. :-D

It is possible, not sure on the speed, but nice thick hand pressed burgers are my specialty.

Alright it looks like I'm going to need to get one of these thingies. (Sorry @Wetlander - a burger press ) It sounds like something I can use for Memorial Day Weekend burgers.
I do have a cast iron smashburger style press which makes great burgers. But I want to try 'em stuffed with cheese now.
