My mental basketball court says "NBA doesn't matter" and hasn't since the days of Magic, Bird, and Jordan. Clearly prefer the college game, the goal is win a BB game and not political statements. Really missed March Madness, always like to cheer for the underdogs to take it all! Hope we have a college season this year! NBA can fold for all care.

Will say it again, pro sports are committing suicide. And fine by me. Cuz if the sad part is that Lebron can't even enjoy a playoff win, what is the point?

Or a display of moral and ethical code against perceived injustices and wrongs?
A walkout is a peaceful protest, a valued American right, just like the right to vote that so many have died to preserve.

Pro sports are going to be just fine. Not everyone is pissed off by BLM.
Will the walkout increase awareness? Probably not, issue has been front and center for months.
Will the walkout make a difference in police handling of suspects? IMO, no its symbolism over substance. There's already plenty of notice that an issue exists that must be corrected.
Would be nice if the NBA players would denounce riots, looting, and destroying property. These latter three items are not helping the situation either.

First, not everything is about you. This might not matter to you, but it matters to a significant part of our population so let them have it.
Second, they do denounce out of control violence but sadly that comes AFTER the first incident which is what they are standing up for.
How many riots took place in Kenosha before this man was shot? No abuses of power, no need for rioting. The root of the problem.

After 40 years of being a market researcher, a key lesson learned was that the deepest insight can often be found in the words never spoken.
Whether that be in a focus group, in-home ethnography, one on one interviews etc..
What I seem to never hear from the "right of center" is any outrage or even disdain for the social injustices and systemic racism in the US. Something that remains insidiously pervasive to this very day.
That's incredibly insightful in and of itself.
