Hughes pretty much ran that route step for step with #15...  Impressive.  We really need him to stay healthy.

I love the guy before heard his nickname

"The Needle" sounds like a menace to WR's.

Great...Cousins sucks and our Offense is going to be terrible this year.

Sounds like Cam is definitely in the running to be one of the starting corners. After all the hand-wringing it's not hard to imagine this corner group being better than last year's group. And I say that mostly because last year's group was god-awful.

Jefferson impresses again
The Vikings' Tuesday practice was the final session of camp that the team planned to livestream. It was more lively than the one fans saw on Monday, as the team tested its young cornerbacks with a busy day of downfield shots.
Here are some observations from the day:
• First-round pick Justin Jefferson worked with all of the Vikings' offensive units as the team tries to get the receiver more practice time before the season. He had an impressive connection with Kirk Cousins on a deep throw off play action, and made plays with the Vikings' second- and third-team offenses as well.
• During his work with the first-team defense, rookie cornerback Cameron Dantzler intercepted Cousins on a play-action throw for Bisi Johnson. It was an up-and-down day overall for Dantzler, who got beat in coverage at least once, but the Vikings continue to give him chances to prove himself against veterans.
• Danielle Hunter sat out again with what coach Mike Zimmer described as a "tweak" on Monday; the defensive end made an appearance on the sideline later in practice.
• Dan Bailey continued his perfect start on field goals, making four on Tuesday to improve to 7-for-7 so far in camp.
• The Vikings continued to rotate Aviante Collins and Dakota Dozier at left guard, alongside the four players who seem established in their offensive line spots: Riley Reiff at left tackle, Garrett Bradbury at center, Pat Elflein at right guard and Brian O'Neill at right tackle.

EAGAN, Minn. – If there's one name who has generated plenty of buzz through the first few days of padded practices, it has been Cameron Dantzler.
The Vikings rookie cornerback — a 2020 third-round pick out of Mississippi State — has turned plenty of heads early on as he battles with a host of other young corners for playing time.
Dantzler deflected a pass away on a deep ball to Adam Thielen on Monday, then followed that up with an interception Tuesday with the first-teamers against quarterback Kirk Cousins.
Vikings Head Coach Mike Zimmer, who spoke on a video call with the Twin Cities media Wednesday, has liked what he has seen from the 6-foot-2 and 188-pound Dantzler early on at Verizon Vikings Training Camp.
"He's got great length and size, long arms," Zimmer said. "He's been a pleasant surprise as far as the discipline that he plays with and understanding what we're trying to do concept-wise, whether it be technique or zone coverage or man-to-man."
Dantzler, who goes by the nickname of "The Needle," started 22 of 35 games in college, allowing just 36 catches for 459 yards on 568 pass coverage snaps.
He totaled 108 career tackles, including 6.0 for losses and 1.5 sacks and five interceptions.
