The gap isn't as big as we might think.

I think a bigger factor than timing is that CA (and LA especially) has a demography that is more widely spread relative to the Boroughs of NY.
My father grew up where the epicenter was in queens.

I was in the hospital that had all the cases like ten years ago - my family lived in Jackson heights.

I wonder what the connection with Laguardia and JFK and travel from countries with the disease are.
Could be, but I think a huge factor is just density.

I read somewhere that a prevailing theory from the detective work is that it was most likely brought here from Europe - and not China.

Maybe a nice chianti with a helping of pasta with a nice marinara gravy with that Covid?
LOL

I don’t know anything about LA.  I do know NYC is too dense for me.

Could be, but I think a huge factor in spread was lack of procedure, testing and just density.

The first cases here in SD were linked back to Europe originally,   at least some anyway.

A1Janitor is posting conspiracy theories.

There's a reason out here in CA we're doing well. We read facts, and we respond accordingly.
Your thread was moved because it was political and not allowed on this forum.

As far as hydroxychloroquine,  it's not proven to be a conspiracy so until there is evidence to refute the anecdotal result that global studies are showing you are the one looking to be posting the conspiracy theories.

As far as the drug shortages,  that is in question as well since major pharmacy chains have stated in the last week that there is stock of the drug and since it is a prescription drug it cant really be run on and hoarded by idiots.  They did say that they are now allowing big scripts to be filled so that there isnt a shortage created by panic purchasing.   They believe that those that need the drug for other uses will still be able to get their script filled,  just not maybe the amount they want and will have to get refills more often than they are used to.  They did acknowledge that there might be outages at isolated stores,  but they will find them at other locations as they will move the drug to where its needed.

I grew up in upstate NY.  My father grew up in Queens.

I was offered a job in NYC working with JFK Jr with a house in queens - medicare fraud.  Turned it down.

You should go back to football discussions.  you are very good at that.
