How High Could Kinlaw Go?

Becton @_#4...I think I found someone who likes him more than me. Wow...
Just saw a PFF ranking that had him at #67. But they don't grade or rank players like NFL draft folks do. I don't think they consider size, length, footwork, hands, or how a player projects as a pro.

love the size...but not that impressed with the Bama game tape.

He made a few nice plays, but was a non-factor on (way) too many, imo.
Motor?  (might have been hot/humid that afternoon)
just watched DT Derrick Brown (Auburn) vs Bama for comparison.
Brown looked no better than Kinlaw.

Watching both projected first round DT's (Kinlaw & Brown) makes me want
OG Deonte Brown (65 Bama).  He stoned both DT's for most of both games.

And they have 2 future 1st Round Tackles as well. That Lone was loaded!

I highly doubt he gets to #25. People can bash him for playing down to some lower level competition, but he lit up his high profile matchups and has all the traits you want inside. Top 15 pick but I could even see the right 43 team taking him in the top 10. But to go that high it'd have to be more of a perfect scheme/need fit.

Good to see you post, Geoff. Did you escape your captors?

I don't think he calls this far either. DJ did mention he based his mock on what he is hearing around the league. His top 50 is on what he's seen.

Kinlaw has proved his value down here. Good week for a potential top 10 pick.

After a dominant two days, South Carolina DT Javon Kinlaw is done for the week at the Senior Bowl, sources say. He’s been dealing with a little tendinitis in one of his knees. Just being smart with a first-round talent.

I always seem to wiggle my way out around the off-season. Not surprised by his top 50, DJ is probably the best in the business ranking without bias.

I love DJ's mock but Minnesota won't sniff him IMO. I could maybe see him falling to 20 of there's a run on Tackles and WRs. If he did I would try to move up and get him.

Long ways to go but really is the type of guy who would be worth moving up for. I wouldn't be surprised to see some of the top WR talent drop down the board. It is so deep that teams in the top-15 are likely going pass in round-1 to get a top 3 player at other positions of need. They can circle back in round 2 and still get a WR with a round 1 grade.
