so if the world steps aside and lets putin kill the current ukraine govt ( not very nice people themselves )  and then NATO puts enough pressure on russia to the point of somebody there taking putins ass out... is it possible that both countries citizens could be much better off in the long run?

I agree, however,  no more bull shit like we had in iraq where we had US soldiers fighting under foreign flags and having to follow their bull shit rules of engagement.  and no more choosing not to actively participate like some countries decide to do,  if we can risk American blood,  then they need to be putting theirs in it as well.  Same with money and everything else.  We can honor our obligations,  as long as the rest are carrying a proportional load, but financially as well as personally.
